"Miss, we're here!"

A hearty male voice came from outside the car. Sophie Su's eyelashes fluttered slightly. She sat up in a daze. After seeing the situation clearly, she stood up suddenly!

Bang!

The loud noise in the car startled Oliver Luo, and he immediately opened the door.

The little girl with a red nose was covering her head and looking up at me with tears in her eyes: "Sorry, I, I was confused in my sleep and thought I was at home."

Oliver Luo pursed his lips to hold back his laughter, and asked with a serious face, "Is it broken? Should I go call a doctor?"

"No!" Sophie Su wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with the back of her hand, rubbed her head embarrassedly and stood up, "My head is very hard, it will be fine if it hits it, don't bother the doctor."

"Okay." Oliver Luo exited the carriage and jumped off gracefully, "Miss, please get off. The master hasn't come to court yet. If you walk faster, you might just be able to see him."

When she heard that she was going to meet her brother, Sophie Su bit her lower lip lightly and clenched her sleeves with her slender fingers in a tangled manner.

"Miss?"

Oliver Luo's voice came again. Sophie Su knew it was not good to avoid it anymore, so she immediately walked out of the carriage and got off with the help of Oliver Luo.

When you look up, you will see a majestic red door with golden nails standing in front of the wide avenue paved with jade. Under the green tile eaves, single-angle brackets are painted with gold and colors. On both sides are glazed screen walls, and the center and corners of the wall are decorated with auspicious patterns. In the middle is a black nanmu plaque with golden silk, with the two big characters "Su Mansion" inscribed in a neat and orderly manner.

On both sides of the clean and bright steps, there is a stone lion, guarding the house with a ferocious look.

"Let's go." Oliver Luo handed the carriage to the servant, greeted the guard familiarly, and led the anxious Sophie Su up the stairs.

Unexpectedly, as soon as I reached the gate, I saw a man walking towards me from inside.

His steps were like the wind, and his spotless black boots pulled up the hem of his clothes with golden cloud patterns. His waist was neatly coiled with a white jade ring hanging from it. His dark green cross-collared official uniform was embroidered with intricate patterns, which wrapped around his tall and upright figure, revealing a sense of vigor and vitality.

The frost-colored brocade cape with pine, bamboo and crane shadows was fastened below the collar with gold and jade buttons. She had a prominent Adam's apple and a slender snow-white neck.

Above his strong yet gentle jaw, his thin lips were slightly pursed, revealing a coldness, his nose was high, his eyebrows were sword-like, and his phoenix eyes were slightly drooped, revealing a barely visible mole hidden in the double eyelids at the end of his eyes, which added a touch of seductiveness to his clear and murderous appearance.

Ethan Su was thinking about something. When he reached the gate, he stopped and looked up.

The long eyelashes slowly rose like butterfly wings, revealing a pair of shallow, demonic gray pupils. The small mole disappeared, and a cold light suddenly appeared. Her eyes swept straight towards the stunned Sophie Su like a knife.

Even though she had seen her brother grow up together, every time Sophie Su faced her brother's extraordinary eyes, she couldn't help but tremble in her heart, and lowered her head as if she was afraid that his soul would be devoured.

Looking at his sister who hadn't grown in height or figure in three years, Ethan Su frowned slightly and said in a cold voice, "Sophie Su."

Her brother seldom called her by her name, and every time he did so he would become extremely angry.

Sophie Su was so scared that her shoulders trembled, but she still held back her fear, biting her lower lip and whispering, "Brother."

Ethan Su felt mixed emotions when he was called by the name he had not heard for a long time.

All those words of scolding that he had wanted to say day and night were swallowed back after he saw the tears that were about to fall.

Ethan Su sighed silently in his heart, stepped over the threshold with his long legs, raised his hand to cover his sister's head and rubbed it as he did before: "I'm glad you're back."

Sophie Su looked up in surprise, and when she met Ethan Su's helpless yet gentle eyes, she could no longer hold back and threw herself into his arms, hugging his waist which was much stronger than before and choking with sobs: "Brother, brother..."

Looking at his sister sobbing, who was barely reaching his chest, Ethan Su raised his hand and patted her back, but when he touched the protruding spine, his face suddenly turned cold and he touched down section by section through her thin clothes.

Sophie Su trembled all over and shrank back: "Brother?"

"Don't move." Ethan Su stopped her from trying to get into his arms, and touched her tailbone without hesitation. He pinched her waist, which had almost no flesh, and frowned tightly: "Why are you so thin? Don't you have food to eat?"

Sophie Su was about to say something when she suddenly felt a black screen in front of her eyes and fainted silently.

Fortunately, Ethan Su reacted quickly and caught her, preventing her from falling miserably.

"Weier?" She called out softly but received no response.

Ethan Su immediately lifted the person in his arms and held him horizontally. Feeling the light weight in his arms, his sinister mood became stronger: "Send the imperial physician over."

Oliver Luo nodded and said, "Yes, I'll go right away!"

Glancing at the young man's departing back, Ethan Su lowered his head to look at Sophie Su who was sleeping peacefully in his arms, and pulled over his cloak to wrap her in it.

When Clara Fang learned that her husband had returned and brought a woman with him, she was so angry that she didn't even bother to look at her new jewelry and hurried to the front yard supported by Nanny Sun.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he arrived, he ran into Ethan Su.

When she saw that he indeed held a woman in his arms, and that she had been married to him for a year and had never had such an intimate behavior with him, she immediately squeezed the silk in her hand until it was deformed!

"Husband." However, she was a lady from a wealthy family. No matter how angry she was, she still looked friendly and asked, "Who is this girl?"

Ethan Su looked indifferent, and without even looking at her, he replied, "My little sister at home."

After saying that, he avoided her and continued to move forward. When Clara Fang heard that they were brother and sister, she felt relieved and her smile became more sincere. She followed closely and said, "What's wrong with you, little sister? Can you call the imperial physician?"

Ethan Su kept walking and said perfunctorily: "I don't know, hmm."

Clara Fang had long been accustomed to his coldness. Just as she was about to ask something else, she saw Ethan Su turn around and go to Linfeng Tingxue where he lived.

That was a place she had never even set foot on!

Clara Fang forced a smile and raised her hand to grab Ethan Su's sleeve: "My husband, you are too busy with government affairs to take care of me. I happen to have a vacant room in my courtyard. Why don't you let me go to my place?"

Ethan Su lowered his eyes and glanced at his sleeves. Seeing that he looked unhappy, Su Clara Fang gritted her teeth and let go of her hand.

"Ethan Su." Tears fell from her pretty face. Clara Fang angrily plucked off the golden hairpin that Ethan Su had put on her with a smile at the banquet not long ago, and threw it to the ground fiercely: "How could you do this to me?! I am your legally married wife!!"

Nanny Sun, who had been supporting her, supported her mistress with eyes full of distress and comforted her: "Madam, be careful not to get too upset. Your husband has always been cold and aloof, and your sister seems to have a hidden illness. Maybe she is too worried and treats you like this."

After hearing this, Clara Fang's expression eased a little. She took a few deep breaths to suppress her anger, and instructed her maid Chunhua to pick up the hairpin and put it back into her hair to return to normal.

"Go prepare a bowl of ginseng soup." Clara Fang looked towards the courtyard full of green bamboos in the east, "Since she is my husband's sister, I, as her sister-in-law, must give her some respect."

Ethan Su walked through the bamboo forest and came to the bedroom where he lived. Seeing this, his personal servants Mu Chuan and Le Wen hurried forward and opened the door. After their master put the person on the bed, they had already prepared warm tea, hot water, towels, etc.

Mu Chuan stood behind the screen and bowed his head and asked, "Master, do you need a maid to serve you?"

Ethan Su pondered for a moment before speaking: "Let Chuxia and Lingshuang come."

"Okay." Mu Chuan pulled Le Wen who was trying to look around, and they both left the room and closed the door.

After the surroundings returned to silence, Ethan Su stood with his hands behind his back and stared out the window.

He quickly reviewed all the memories of the past three years related to Amelia Su. As if he realized something was wrong, he clenched his fists, then turned and walked to the bed, looking down at the unconscious girl.

The person on the bed had a sad brow even in his sleep, perhaps he dreamed of something bad, and he kept mumbling with his lips moving.

Content not yet finished, continue reading on the next page. The movement of those red lips was too light, and even Ethan Su, who was proficient in lip reading, could not make it out. He had to bend down and put his ear closer.

"Brother...don't...don't leave me..."

The warm breath brushed over his earlobe, and besides the numbness, Ethan Su felt as if his heart was being cut by a knife.

How could his sister, who he had held in the palm of his hand since she was a child and had never even beaten or scolded, and who only felt at ease when she was by his side all the time, think that he was going to abandon her?

Back then, it was obviously her...

As if remembering something extremely painful, Ethan Su raised his hand and pinched his eyebrows, then gently sat down on the edge of the bed and held Sophie Su's hand in his palm.

"Hmm?" The rough texture made Ethan Su frown again. He looked down at the scarred little hand in his palm and clenched it tightly out of control: "What did Mason Zhou do to you?"

"Ugh." The little girl in the dream seemed to feel pain, and she retracted her fingers and struggled weakly.

Ethan Su immediately loosened his grip, rubbing her slender fingers with extreme tenderness, and coaxed her: "Be gentle, Wei'er, it won't hurt."

Seeing that his sister's expression gradually eased and even her mumbling calmed down, Ethan Su took her other hand, intertwined their fingers, and began to massage it carefully.

QQ---

A knock on the door interrupted the warmth of the brother and sister in the room. Ethan Su remained in his posture and said coldly without even raising his eyes: "Come in."

Content not yet finished, continue reading on the next page As the door opened and closed, an old man with a goat's white beard walked into the inner room respectfully, and Oliver Luo followed him and stood beside the screen.

Fu Siwu bowed and said, "Greetings, Your Excellency, may I ask what the patient's symptoms are?"

Ethan Su untied his intertwined fingers, placed one of them on the edge of the bed, and used his palm to cushion her.

Fu Siwu was slightly surprised in his heart. Everyone knew that Lord Su was cold-hearted and never knew what it meant to be gentle and considerate to women. Even towards his wife, he only smiled occasionally and behaved moderately.

Now he actually treasures it so much, it can be seen that the person on the bed is extraordinary...

Fu Siwu, who had been in the palace for many years, understood what he meant instantly. He looked at the nose with his eyes, and then at the mouth with his nose, not even daring to look around, and walked forward to carefully diagnose the pulse.

He stroked his beard, took a few steps back and smiled gently, "Don't worry, Lord Su. This girl just had too many ups and downs in her heart, and her body was weak, so she couldn't stand such ups and downs and fell into a coma. She will wake up after she has rested well."

Ethan Su nodded slightly: "Are there any other chronic diseases?"

Fu Siwu shook his head: "As for the pulse, it is steady and strong, and there is no chronic disease."

Upon hearing this, Ethan Su stood up and made room. Fu Siwu immediately stepped forward and wrapped his hands with a silk handkerchief.

He first checked her ears and eyes, and after confirming that there was nothing wrong, he gently pinched her jaw and pried open her lips. Only when he saw her white and neat teeth and her tongue coating was rosy and frost-free did he step back with peace of mind.

Fu Siwu bowed and said, "Master Su, please rest assured. This girl has no other inflammation, but I see that she looks pale and thin, and I'm afraid she is malnourished."

"Don't rush into nourishing the body." Fu Siwu turned around and took out a pen and paper from the medicine box. "I'll prescribe a few recipes to strengthen the spleen and stomach. After you've taken good care of this girl's internal organs, you can slowly nourish her with a combination of meat and vegetables every day, and she will naturally recover."

Ethan Su then slightly softened his icy expression: "Thank you, my sister, for taking care of the imperial physician."

Upon hearing this, Fu Siwu was stunned. He glanced at the bed in surprise, wondering in his heart, when did Lord Su get a younger sister?

But he didn't dare to ask anything, just smiled and responded: "Master Su is not only filial to the old lady, but also very loving to his wife, and he also takes care of his sister. He is really a role model for everyone in our dynasty."

"Thank you for your praise." As soon as Ethan Su raised his eyes, Oliver Luo immediately stepped forward and handed over the box full of gold. "My sister has suffered many disasters since she was a child. I hope that Imperial Doctor Fu will take good care of her in the future."

Fu Siwu calmly put the box into the medicine box, his eyes narrowed into a slit and filled with joy as he replied, "Lord Su is too polite. I will do my best."

After Fu Siwu left, Oliver Luo handed the prescription to Muchuan and Le Wen, and returned to the inner room again.

He happened to see Ethan Su helping Sophie Su cover herself with the quilt. His gentle and considerate look really scared him.

However, before he could come to his senses, Ethan Su had already pulled the bed curtain and turned around, returning to his usual cold and distant self. As he passed by Oliver Luo, he said, "Find a female doctor to check on her."

After saying that, Ethan Su walked away. Oliver Luo stretched his head to look at the purple curtain, scratched the back of his head and walked out the door: "Why do you need a female doctor?"
