Across the Roads with Dexter Lu Chapter 24

Dexter Lu stayed in a full-day kindergarten until he was three years old, and was taken home once a week. Marshall Lu was too busy to take care of him, and Marshall Lu was not very good at taking care of children.

In my mind, it was a sunny and windy day. In fact, I was so young that I couldn’t remember it, but Dexter Lu was used to setting all good days to be sunny and windy.

Marshall Lu took him to Vincent Qiu's house. He was carrying a small schoolbag and had a small hairpin on his bangs. Vincent Qiu was five years old and was reading a bilingual storybook. He had been practicing listening, reading and writing since he was a child.

Mother Qiu saw that he liked him so much, she hugged him and asked, "Lulu, did your father wear the hairpin for you?"

Dexter Lu was still a little kid. He remembered that Marshall Lu said before coming here that he had to call someone first. "Hello, Auntie." He replied, still a little bit naive, "The teacher gave it to me and said it was time for me to cut my hair."
