Adrian in the Land of Potters Chapter 7

It's quite refreshing.

Adrian Sun fell back on the sofa, turned up the TV volume, crossed his legs comfortably, and waited for the food to be served.

I should have ordered only one.

I'll give the extra portion to feed the stray cats later.

Adrian Sun yawned. He felt sleepy before he even had his meal. He was quite tired after being idle all day.

In fact, he wasn't too surprised that Ethan Fang turned around and left. Although given this man's thick skin, he would have to bargain with him for a while, and then he would say that he doesn't bargain... But looking at Ethan Fang's expression when he mentioned homoS3xuality, he probably wouldn't agree.

It's better to agree to it. It's more interesting to do it whenever you have time than to do it once.

After watching the news for about ten minutes, the doorbell rang.

This time it should be the meal delivery. Adrian Sun got up and went to the door to open both the courtyard door and the room door.

He was stunned when he saw someone walking in from outside the yard.

One was a delivery man in uniform carrying two stacks of lunch boxes, and the other... was Ethan Fang.

"You..." Adrian Sun couldn't help but sigh.

Ethan Fang didn't say anything, lowered his head and squeezed past him into the house.

"Is this your order, sir?" The waiter took out a receipt and waited for payment.

After the delivery man left, Adrian Sun closed the door, put the lunch box on the coffee table, and Ethan Fang stood back to where he had stood before.

"Are you going to eat and then go?" Adrian Sun glanced at him, opened the lunch box and took a look. As soon as he smelled the food, he felt that he had no appetite.

"Why do I have to write an IOU and...all that mess?" Ethan Fang said.

"Because I don't trust Fang...your mother," Adrian Sun closed the lunch box and sat back on the sofa, "Whatever IOU, whatever conditions, she will definitely agree to them, and then there will be nothing else."

"I can do that too." Ethan Fang looked at him.

"That's up to you, you can go." Adrian Sun smiled, looked at the TV and stopped talking.

It's easy to tell what kind of mess Lauren Fang has become without him saying anything, but Ethan Fang is different. You can tell his life is much more normal than Lauren Fang's. As for why these two people would team up, Adrian Sun was too lazy to think about it.

And now Ethan Fang came to "borrow" money for Lauren Fang, maybe because of the deep love between mother and son, or maybe because... If Ethan Fang hadn't left and come back, he wouldn't be sure, but now he can almost guess that if he can't get the money, he might be in trouble.

"Then why do you have those conditions?" Ethan Fang paused before asking again. "Why?"

"No reason," Adrian Sun put away his smile and said in a cold voice, "To teach you how to be a human being."

After sensing Ethan Fang's unhappy gaze, he laughed happily again: "Lauren Fang is hopeless. If you take some medicine, maybe he can have a resurgence."

Ethan Fang frowned.

"Why, you don't accept it?" Adrian Sun stretched lazily, "I am just so upright and selfless."

"I'm going to take the money and not acknowledge it," Ethan Fang said.

"You can try it." Adrian Sun said with a smile.

Neither of them spoke after that, and the only sound in the room was the TV.

Adrian Sun ignored him and went into the kitchen to get his chopsticks. When he sat down and prepared to force a few bites, Ethan Fang finally spoke: "Okay."

"Agreed?" Adrian Sun asked.

"Well, but you...can't go too far." Ethan Fang said.

"That cannot be guaranteed." Adrian Sun said bluntly.

Ethan Fang moved. Adrian Sun glanced at him and felt that this guy wanted to rush over and punch him twice, but after holding back for a long time, he only said one sentence: "When can you give me the money?"

Adrian Sun took a pen and paper from the drawer and threw them on the coffee table: "Write the IOU."

After leaving Adrian Sun's house, Ethan Fang was filled with anger but had no way to vent it. He kicked four or five trash cans along the way but still couldn't get rid of the anger that was stuck in his throat.

If those people had not blocked Lauren Fang's school gate and told him his home address when they failed to contact him, if he had not been afraid that the matter would get out of hand and his already sick grandmother would not be able to handle it, if Lauren Fang had not been begging him, saying that there was a way to raise the money but it would take three months, he would never have come to Adrian Sun.

Adrian Sun's smug expression made people want to pick up a stick and hit him in the face a thousand times.

When the cell phone rang, Ethan Fang kicked over another trash can.

"Xiao Chi..." Lauren Fang's voice was heard as soon as the phone was picked up.

"I'll give you the money tomorrow, and write a note," Ethan Fang said, suppressing his anger. "If you can't pay me back in three months, you'll go to jail."

"You borrowed it?" Lauren Fang shouted in surprise, "I knew you could find a way! Who did you ask to borrow it from?"

"It's none of your business," Ethan Fang gritted his teeth, "Did you hear what I said?"

"I heard it clearly, I heard it clearly," Lauren Fang said in a series of words, "I will write the IOU right away and wait for you to come over tomorrow. No, I will send it to you."

"I'll go get it," Ethan Fang said, "If you can't pay it back in three months, you'll go to jail. If you dare to run away, you'd better take Xiaoguo with you, otherwise I..."

Xiaoguo was probably Lauren Fang's only weakness. She immediately said, "I will definitely, definitely, definitely return it to you. Thank you, Sister Xiaochi. I am not a good person, but I have never cheated my own family. I will definitely..."

"Okay." Ethan Fang said and hung up the phone.

The next morning before seven, Ethan Fang went to Adrian Sun's house. He had to sign that Sh!tty contract about cleaning the house, washing clothes and cooking before he could get the money.

Maybe it was a little early. The doorbell had been ringing for nearly ten minutes, and the dog in the neighbor's yard was barking with asthma. Finally, Adrian Sun came out shirtless in his pajamas and with an unhappy look on his face, and opened the door.

"What time is it?" Adrian Sun's voice was still nasal, as if he hadn't woken up yet. "You are so eager to sign a contract to sell yourself..."

"I still have classes to go to." Ethan Fang said.

"Class?" Adrian Sun curled his lips and asked casually as he turned around, "What grade?"

"The second year of junior high school." Ethan Fang answered without thinking.

"Wow," Adrian Sun turned around, "quite a quick response."

Ethan Fang didn't say anything.

When Adrian Sun walked into the house, he could see a tattoo on the waistband of his pajamas. He couldn't tell what it was, but Adrian Sun had fair skin, so the tattoo stood out...

Ethan Fang quickly moved his eyes away from his waist.

There was a piece of written paper on the coffee table. He picked it up and took a look. It was probably this thing. "Service Contract" was written on it.

Bullsh!t service contract!

But what surprised Ethan Fang was that Adrian Sun's handwriting was so beautiful, so vigorous and powerful that it looked like a copybook.

When Lauren Fang said that if there was anything that needed to be written at school, she should go to Adrian Sun, he thought she was just bragging...

People of this character really ruin such a good word.

"That's it," Adrian Sun came out of the bedroom in pajamas, holding a paper bag in his hand, "Sign it."

"Where's the money?" Ethan Fang asked.

Adrian Sun threw the paper bag in front of him and said, "Hurry up, I still need to sleep."

Ethan Fang sat on the sofa, took the paper package and opened it. Inside was money tied up in stacks. He counted them and found there were exactly ten stacks. So he took the "service contract" and began to read it.

There wasn't much content, mainly what was said yesterday, and there were brackets, which said that service items would be increased as needed. Ethan Fang frowned, and further down were the deadlines and other things.

But when he saw the last line, he was stunned again and looked up at Adrian Sun: "Are there any more wages?"

"It's a contract after all," Adrian Sun said as he drank from his cup, "If you don't pay, it will say it's a contract of sale. Do you want to change it?"

Ethan Fang was silent for a few seconds, lowered his head, signed his name below, and handed the paper to Adrian Sun.

"Oh, these words," Adrian Sun took the paper and took a look at it, "I don't even have the courage to take a second look."

"Just close your eyes." Ethan Fang said.

After Adrian Sun signed his name, he entered another room, which should be the study. When he opened the door, Ethan Fang took a look inside. The bookcases on both walls were full of books.

I also saw a pen holder on the desk in the middle and several framed calligraphy works hanging on the wall. Are they really calligraphy?

"I'll keep the original and give you the copy." Adrian Sun walked out and gave him the copy.

"It doesn't matter whether I want it or not." Ethan Fang felt blocked when he saw the words "service contract". He didn't want to touch this thing at all.

"No," Adrian Sun fell on the sofa next to him and smiled, "If you want me to quietly change the content and add a sleeping companion, will you do it?"

Ethan Fang jumped up as if he had been stabbed, grabbed the paper and walked towards the door.

"Hey, leave me a phone number," Adrian Sun pointed to the mobile phone on the coffee table.

Ethan Fang turned around, took his phone and dialed his own number: "Let's start tomorrow. I have a lot to do today."

"That depends on my mood." Adrian Sun yawned.

Ethan Fang glanced at him, turned and walked out.

"Study hard and make progress every day, son---" Adrian Sun shouted with a smile, "Show some honor to your father!"

After settling the money issue, Ethan Fang was no longer in the mood to care about Lauren Fang's bandaged hand, so he turned around and rushed to school.

When I climbed over the wall and entered the school, the first class had already passed and the second class had already started for ten minutes. The second class was taught by our homeroom teacher, Mr. Li.

Ethan Fang hung around the back door of the classroom for a long time, and while Old Li was writing on the blackboard, he quickly slipped into the classroom.

"Ethan Fang, come to my office later." Old Li said while writing without even turning his head.

"...Oh." Ethan Fang felt disappointed and walked slowly to his seat and sat down.

"Did you oversleep?" Sierra Liang asked softly beside him.

Ethan Fang turned his head and asked: "Why are you sitting here?"

"I changed it a bit," Sierra Liang smiled and pouted, "I just had a quarrel with Lin Wei... Hey, can I tell you about the papers from the past two days during self-study?"

"Okay." Ethan Fang nodded. Sierra Liang had been in the same class with him for three years and they had always had a good relationship. She was the only girl with whom he had a private relationship.

Ethan Fang was a little distracted during class. He kept thinking about the so-called contract in his pocket, and how he had inexplicably and unwillingly taken on a debt of one hundred thousand yuan.

It's amazing.

If Lauren Fang doesn't pay back the money after three months, his life will be even more magical.

After class, Lao Li packed up his things and glanced over at Ethan Fang.

"Hey, here I come." Ethan Fang stood up helplessly and followed Lao Li out of the classroom. He had thought that after a class, Lao Li would forget about this matter.

"How did you get in?" Old Li asked as he walked.

"Just came in like that." Ethan Fang said.

"The thing you use your rock climbing skills most often is climbing over the school wall, right?" Old Li looked at him.

The school has only one gate, and there are teaching buildings on three sides. The wall is also high. Apart from a few cracks in the wall and two raised bricks, there is no place to gain leverage, so it is a bit difficult for ordinary students to climb over the wall. However, Ethan Fang was able to get in easily.

"Not really," Ethan Fang said, "sometimes I even climb over the park wall."

"You feel quite accomplished?" Old Li glanced at him. "Do you want to give a lecture on the key points of climbing to the whole school during the morning meeting on Monday?"

"I went out late today." Ethan Fang lowered his head.

"What have you been doing these past few days? Didn't you say you wouldn't go to training in the evening? I didn't see you come to the evening study session either," Old Li sighed. "You're really in this state... How are you going to take the college entrance exam next year?"

"I'll come tonight." Ethan Fang said.

"If you run into any problems, tell me. Your parents are not around, and I promised your dad to keep an eye on you," said Lao Li. "If you can calm down, your grades can improve even more..."

"I understand." Ethan Fang nodded.

Lao Li didn't have much to say. The two chatted as they walked. When they reached the office, they had basically finished talking. Lao Li waved his hand and said, "Okay, go back to class."

Normally, Ethan Fang wouldn't have felt anything when he heard what Old Li said, but today, after listening to it, he returned to the classroom in a daze.

His grades are neither good nor bad. They will regress if he is not careful, but will improve again with a few efforts. So he plans to study hard for the time being, and take the job of club guide after he finishes his exams next year.

But now he feels a little depressed. Adrian Sun's selling of himself... no, the contract, and Adrian Sun's attitude, make him feel that he may not have a good life in the next three months.

He had also thought about just ignoring the crappy conditions when the time came, but after two contacts, he felt that this method was not feasible. First, Adrian Sun was rich, and second, Adrian Sun was idle all day long. If such a person wanted to cause trouble for him, he might not be able to handle it.

"You've been absent-minded all day," Sierra Liang couldn't help but say when she was explaining the test paper to him during the last evening study session, "Did you hear what I just said to you?"

"I heard it." Ethan Fang said.

"That's nonsense. I didn't say anything just now." Sierra Liang clicked her tongue.

"I'm a little hungry." Ethan Fang pressed his stomach.

"You deserve it," Sierra Liang looked towards the classroom door, "Jasper Xiao just went out to buy supper. He asked if you wanted some, but you were daydreaming."

"I'll go back and eat later." Ethan Fang said.

With only a few minutes left before the get out of class ended, Jasper Xiao returned to the classroom carrying two bags of hot dumplings.

"Oh, you're finally back." someone said.

The few people who had been waiting for a long time immediately gathered around and claimed their box.

After the crowd dispersed, Jasper Xiao still had two boxes of dumplings in the bag in front of him. He glanced at Ethan Fang and said, "You..."

Ethan Fang stood up, stuffed the things on the table into his schoolbag and threw it over his shoulder: "I'm going back."

Jasper Xiao swallowed the rest of his words.

"Is there an extra box? Give it to me. I wasn't hungry just now, but I became hungry when I smelled the fragrance." Sierra Liang said.

When Ethan Fang walked out of the school gate, he was thinking about what to eat. After wandering around the small street in front of the school gate for a while, he decided to just have a bowl of noodles, which was filling and still hot.

There were a few classmates from their school in the noodle shop, all of whom came to have a bite after evening self-study.

Ethan Fang had just found an empty seat with his bowl of noodles, but before he sat down, his cell phone rang.

While putting seasoning into the bowl, he took out his cell phone and looked at it. It was an unfamiliar number, and his first reaction was Adrian Sun.

He was a little annoyed, but still sat down and answered the phone: "Hello?"

"Son," Adrian Sun's voice came from the phone, but his voice was obviously drunk and his words were unclear. "Good evening."

"Good evening." Ethan Fang was a little speechless.

"Can you drive?" Adrian Sun asked. There was some noisy background sound coming from the receiver, including music, voices, and even the sound of someone arguing.

"Yes," Ethan Fang answered, lowering his head to mix the noodles and taking a bite, "but I don't have a driver's license."

"How come you don't have a driver's license?" Adrian Sun heard the voice and took a sip of water.

"I'm only 14 years old." Ethan Fang reminded him.

Adrian Sun was silent for two seconds and then suddenly burst into laughter. He laughed so hard that he couldn't stop for a long time and felt like he could hardly breathe.

"It's okay, I'm hanging up." Ethan Fang said.

"Come and pick me up, right now, I'm at the entrance of Gravity, Red Beetle," Adrian Sun stopped laughing and gave an address. When he wanted to say more, someone called him. He said impatiently, "Just leave me alone, okay..."

Ethan Fang was about to ask another question when the person on the other end of the phone hung up.

Staring at the noodles in his bowl of which he had only taken a bite, he felt a little depressed. After hesitating for a moment, he picked up the chopsticks, lowered his head and continued eating.

He didn't know what this place called Gravity was, but based on the address Adrian Sun gave, he could roughly guess it. It was a street of bars, nightclubs, and KTVs. He had only been to that street three times in total, all of which were for singing on his classmates' birthdays. However, it was probably a place where people like Adrian Sun often stayed.

He finished his noodles, walked to the street and hailed a taxi.

He didn't want to pick up Adrian Sun. He was very, very, very reluctant to pick up Adrian Sun. But no matter what, he had signed that Bullsh!t contract, and he didn't want Adrian Sun to add another accusation of being a liar and breaking his promise to him.

How funny! Of course the liar never keeps his word.

The gravity driver didn't understand where it was. Ethan Fang frowned and said, "It's an English name..."

"There's no English name like this," the driver immediately called out several names in his fluent Chinese English, "Sabiwei, Miaozeike, Angdeer, something, and Angdeer Gelang Lawo... There's no name that starts with you!"

Ethan Fang's English is quite poor, but when faced with the driver's English, he still felt a strong sense of superiority, but now was not the right time.

"Then this... Chinese is..." Ethan Fang hesitated and translated it, "Maybe it's gravity?"

"Hey? Gravity?" The driver said, as if he had suddenly realized something. "Why not just say gravity? Why are you speaking English? I can't speak it well!"

When he got off the car and saw the name of the bar, Ethan Fang suddenly had the urge to find Adrian Sun and beat him up first. There were four Chinese characters written in large letters on the bar: 地, 心, 引, 力!

I actually gave myself the word gravity. What the hell is that!

However, the red Beetle was easy to find. Although it was small, there was only one of them, parked on the roadside 20 meters away from the bar entrance.

It was very noisy at the bar. Ethan Fang took a quick look and saw a police car parked at the door. He guessed that someone was drunk and causing trouble.

He didn't look at it for long and walked towards the car. When he got close, he saw a person standing next to the car, bending over and saying something to the passenger window.

"Where...where is there, can someone take you? Can't you take a taxi?" The man looked up and saw Ethan Fang, and was stunned. He stared at him for a while, then lowered his head and said to the car window, "Fang, Fang, Fang...oh Fcuk, her son?"

"It's my son." The passenger door opened, and Adrian Sun got out of the car. He leaned against the car and glanced at him. He raised his hand and threw something over, "Get in the car."
