Adrian Xu's scores on several mock papers he had done before were all below 100, with only one occasion exceeding the 100 mark. His average score was 98.
The fact that he was able to score 113 this time was largely due to Nathan Shao's accurate prediction of the questions, and his good performance as he hardly lost any points on the questions he knew and made very few mistakes.
Richard Meng didn't know how much Adrian Xu, a complete academic failure, had worked behind the scenes to get this score. Although his performance in other subjects was still very unsatisfactory, his math performance was outstanding: "The results were originally announced next week, but the teacher really couldn't wait to tell you the good news. You did very well this time!"
113 points!
In fact, it is not a shockingly high score, but the two words "Adrian Xu" next to this score is shocking enough.
