The burning temperature of the boy's palm and his breathing gradually intertwined.

Adrian Xu was very familiar with this studio. He had sat here countless nights before his freshman year in high school, facing the easel with a paintbrush in his hand.

He liked to listen to music while painting, any kind of music. The earphone cord was pulled out of his pocket, and he would play a random song in one earphone while the other ear would hear the rustling sound made by the friction between the pen tip and the drawing paper.

When the sun is at its hottest in the afternoon, a few cats with lazy steps often pass by on the steps outside the floor-to-ceiling window beside me.

Occasionally they would stop, expose their bellies, and lie down to bask in the sun.
