Bill returned to his office.
After a while, George came to him.
"George, I have just convened a board meeting and are preparing to release a new computer operating system to the public! And it's all free!" Bill said expressionlessly.
"Mr. Bill, if we do this, wouldn't the 300 million U.S. dollars we invested in the early stage be wasted? And once it is announced as free, it will be very difficult to charge later." George found it really hard to accept.
"I have no choice. Right now, free is the best coping strategy. When our competitors fall, we will restore the original price and computer companies will buy it. Otherwise, without our computer operating system, those computer companies will not be able to operate at all." Bill spread his hands and responded helplessly.
