Twenty kilometers east of McFei's Burbank factory is the McFei factory's specially built flight test base.

Before delivering an aircraft to an airline for its first flight, aircraft manufacturers will conduct repeated test flights around their own airports, ranging from hundreds to thousands or even tens of thousands of times.

At 11 a.m., a brand new McPherson F475neo was parked at the first stand of the test flight base. In the control tower, the designers of McPherson Laboratory, Johnny Berkeley, the director of McPherson's public relations department, Thor Reiner, the current chief designer of McPherson, and Patrick Zhuo, the former chief designer, stood in front of the 360-degree surround glass and looked out at the aircraft shining in the sun.

Five minutes later, it moved.

The blue and white plane slowly backed up from the parking position, drove out, and finally stopped at the starting point of the take-off runway.
