An hour later, on a summer afternoon, a breeze blew through the Exorcism Department, and Leo finally felt a little cooler. The shadows of the trees were mottled, and the wind chimes rang crisply.
Blake, Leo, and Xiao Shan, all three of them were shirtless, wearing the same thin white pants, sitting in the corridor. Blake had no expression on his face, while Leo looked hopeless. The two adults and one child were drinking sour plum soup.
"You've grown a lot taller." Leo hasn't had time to talk to Xiao Shan since he saw him again.
A year after Xiao Shan left Chi Le Chuan and went to Dunhuang, he grew taller by leaps and bounds. When he came back this time, he was as tall as Leo's ears.
"Oh," Xiao Shan said, "I can still grow." He was a little absent-minded as he spoke, drank some sour plum juice, and asked, "What kind of cultivation are you doing?"
