The Eighteen Levels of Hell are extremely important in the entire cycle of reincarnation, and it is here that the dead souls cleanse themselves of their sins.
When the six realms of reincarnation were first established, dead souls entering the six realms of reincarnation would first be judged in the underworld.
According to one's own sins, one will either be reincarnated directly or be thrown into the eighteen levels of hell to wash away one's sins.
Only after cleansing one's own sins can the dead soul successfully enter the six realms and then reincarnate.
If one wants to wash away one's sins, one has to endure the corresponding torture in the eighteen levels of hell, and only after serving one's sentence can all one's sins be washed away.
