By the time the servants and maids in Victor Cui's yard chased out, Ryan Cui had already grabbed a servant and asked him to take him to the yard where Cui's mansion kept horses.
His eldest son was no longer the same as before. He was a child prodigy that the emperor wanted to bring to the palace for an audience. The servants were naturally vying to curry his favor. He just said "I want a horse", and the drivers immediately saddled and bridled the horses and rushed to send him out without asking the master if he agreed or not. Behind the courtyard, a servant sent by Doctor Cui shouted at someone to stop him from leaving, but he had already jumped on the horse, leaving Cui's people behind and ran towards the imperial city.
He had already found out before he came to Beijing that the Northern Pacification Office was just west of the Qianbu Corridor outside the Imperial City, and close to that side. He could find both houses by going through the street at the Right Gate of Chang'an. He had to go to the Northern Pacification Office first to visit the prison, and then go to the Tongzheng Office to file a petition, so that it would seem more real.
Although the Northern Pacification Division has a bad reputation, he has someone behind him, so it should be no problem for him to show off his mother-son love at the door.
On the way, he also went to a restaurant to order some meals. Holding the food box in one hand and the reins in the other, he slowed down and walked towards the Northern Pacification Office.
