Bennett and the Veil of Secrecy Chapter 17

Bennett spent another busy week amid hesitation about whether to go to Lucas.

Being in the laboratory was not satisfactory before, so Bennett planned to take other courses after completing the project at hand. During the day, he worked in the laboratory with his team members and was too busy to do anything. At night, he was on the phone with his family to discuss taking courses. The credits at T school were expensive, and he had no independence. He had to ask his family for everything.

His family agreed to his request, but Bennett found that the relationship between classmates in the laboratory seemed to have changed somewhat inexplicably since Carter Song sent him home.

Wesley Zhou suddenly became more enthusiastic towards him, and would sometimes ask him if he wanted to eat together. Jasper's change was that he no longer had tit-for-tat with Bennett, and Carter Song... his voice seemed to be bad all the time.

Meanwhile, Lucas has been acting strangely in recent days. He is more silent and cold than before, saying that he is busy and often disappears.
