After Ethan Bennett walked out of the gate of Zhaixing Tower, he could no longer stand. All the strength in his body was slipping away. He held on to the wall all the way, stumbling forward in a panic under the astonished eyes of everyone.
"Doctor Pei?..."
"Doctor Pei?"
It seemed as if many people were calling him, trying to help him up as he repeatedly fell to the ground. Their voices were filled with surprise and confusion, totally unable to comprehend this possessed and dispirited state.
Ethan Bennett's hands and feet had no strength at all, but he still stubbornly pushed away those who wanted to support him. He bent over, held on to the wall, and staggered back to the small courtyard where he was temporarily staying.
