Maybe it was because today was the Lantern Festival, so none of the plays were complete, but mostly selections of love vows and promises. A lot of lucky draws were thrown out as soon as the play ended, and some young ladies in the compartment downstairs were so moved that they were about to cry.

The first part of "Wu Yue Chunqiu" tells the story of the defeat of Yue State and the capture of its king and ministers. Fan Li, a minister of Yue State, endured the humiliation and presented his beloved Xi Shi to King Fuchai of Wu, using her beauty to seduce the king and disrupt the government. Eventually, the king and ministers of Wu became alienated, the state was in disarray, and Yue State was avenged. Fan Li retired after his success and took Xi Shi with him on a boat to live in seclusion.

The second act, "The Palace of Eternal Youth", tells the story of Emperor Minghuang of Tang's doting on Concub!ne Yang. He appointed her brother as prime minister and her three sisters as ladies. Among them, Lady Guoguo wore no makeup and had an extraordinary appearance, so she was also favored by Emperor Minghuang of Tang. Later, Emperor Minghuang of Tang favored Concub!ne Mei. Concub!ne Yang became jealous and spoke without thinking, which annoyed Emperor Minghuang of Tang. She was sent back to her mother's home. She became sick from missing the emperor at her mother's home, and cut off a lock of her hair and asked someone to give it to Emperor Minghuang of Tang. When Emperor Minghuang saw the hair, he was very moved and sent someone to bring Concub!ne Yang back to the palace. The two reconciled and swore to never separate in the Palace of Eternal Youth on the night of the Chinese Valentine's Day.

The third play, "Wang Baochuan", is a script from the north. It tells the story of Wang Baochuan, a rich lady from an official family, who falls in love with Xue Pinggui, who comes from a poor family, and disobeys her father's order to marry him. After marriage, Xue Pinggui joins the army and goes to Xiliang to fight, and later becomes the consort of the princess of Xiliang. Wang Baochuan has been guarding the cold kiln for 18 years, enduring hardships and being loyal. Upon hearing the news, she writes a letter in blood and asks a wild goose to take it to Xue Pinggui in Xiliang.
