The Zhengying Hall was indeed large, and the furnishings were even more magnificent. There were three steps leading out from the front, on which stood an eight-panel rosewood screen with three gentlemen painted in gold, plum, bamboo and orchid. In front of the screen was a large rosewood plum blossom table, and on either side of the table were four-cornered official hat chairs that were wide enough to seat two people.
On the chair was placed a brand new plum-red cushion with gold sprinkled on it.
There is a floor-standing bronze crane incense burner in front of the steps, with green smoke rising slowly.
There was no one in the chair.
There are twelve rosewood armchairs in a row on both sides of the steps.
