"Because I'm an omega, I can't marry an alpha? But, why? Why can't an omega marry an alpha? Alphas can marry omegas, and alphas can marry betas, so why can't omegas marry anyone when it's their turn? This isn't fair."
When Mander was very young, he shocked everyone at the family gathering with this sentence.
After three seconds of silence, the adults started laughing, treating it as a silly thing that children say a few times in their lives. It was like Mand asked why the sun couldn't be blue, but it was full of fantastic ideas that were absolutely impossible to happen. The feeling of "I didn't expect that Mand, who has always been like a little adult in my family, would actually have such an innocent side, so cute" came to me.
There is no sarcasm in this. At the very least, adults feel that they are full of goodwill.
But young Mander, dressed in a little formal suit, sat in his seat, looking at a loss. He didn't understand why the adults were laughing, nor did he feel that he had asked an innocent and stupid question.
