Probably not. Adrian Lu is quite petty in some matters (jealous), but when it comes to matters of principle, he is still very respectful and basically will not interfere too much with Ethan Xie's choices.
Ethan Xie obviously really wanted to go to work, and Adrian Lu would not be so selfish as to ruin the job he had worked so hard to find.
