"Ryan Cao, don't you have classmates in Berkeley?" It was an ordinary day in October. Ryan Cao had been on exchange to the University of Santa Barbara for a month.
He did make an appointment with Alex Zhou via email, but Alex Zhou was too busy and said he would treat Ryan Cao to dinner when he was free.
Ryan Cao’s roommate in Santa Barbara was also a Chinese student, Zhao Guangzeng, who was also an exchange student from Yenching University.
"Yeah, my old roommate was also in Berkeley."
"Does he know Alex Zhou?"
