Lucas Yan grabbed the railing with one hand: "Run!"

However, Oliver Si did not move. He grabbed Lucas Yan's hand and pulled it upwards with gritted teeth. He weighed at least 20 pounds less than Lucas Yan, and this pull almost dislocated his elbow. The bones immediately made a terrible cracking sound.

"Zombies are coming!"

Simon panted and said, "Stop talking nonsense."

Lucas Yan kicked his feet in the air, stepped on the wall several times but slipped again, and watched several zombies staggering towards Oliver Si with flames, and the ending of his voice was sharp and changed: "Listen to me! Don't worry about me, run!"

"How can I...ignore you..."

"Zombies are behind you!!"

Oliver Si's half body was pulled out of the rooftop, and he felt a weight on his back, and the bloody breath of the zombies was close to his ears. At the same time, Lucas Yan's foot finally stepped on the windowsill, and in a flash, he jumped up with the help of Oliver Si's pulling force!

Lucas Yan flipped over the railing like a whirlwind, hugged Oliver Si around the waist, knocked him to the ground, and rolled several meters in an instant!

"Are you OK?!"

Oliver Si missed the zombie's teeth by a hair's breadth, but after being hit on the head by Lucas Yan, it took him several seconds to catch his breath: "No... It's okay."

Lucas Yan pressed his whole body on Oliver Si, supporting the ground with his left elbow, and turned his face with his right hand. He saw injuries from behind the ear to the neck, but there was no bleeding when he touched it. It was the abrasion on the concrete floor when he rolled over, and all his internal organs fell back into his stomach in an instant.

"No bite." Lucas Yan buried his head in Oliver Si's neck, and murmured thankfully, "Great, no bite."

Because of the glands that can temporarily mark, and the fact that a heavy blow can be fatal, the back of the neck is one of the most sensitive and critical parts of the Omega body. If Lucas Yan was an Alpha, the touch just now would be a textbook example of S3xual harassment, and Oliver Si's first instinct would be to flip him over and kick him out.

"you..."

Oliver Si just opened his mouth reluctantly when he saw Lucas Yan raised his head and looked at him deeply. Before he could figure out the emotion in that look, Lucas Yan drew his knife with his backhand, turned around and chopped horizontally. The zombie's head flew out instantly and its body fell heavily to the ground.

"Run!" Lucas Yan pulled Oliver Si up: "Get off the rooftop and return to the underground warehouse, quickly!"

The rooftop had been completely reduced to a bloodbath, with people covered in flames, screaming, and violent zombies full of aggressiveness everywhere. Many people were covered in blood, crying and running wildly, rushing towards the safe corridor door they had come from; however, in the chaos, countless people fell down and were trampled to death before they could get up.

"Ethan Zhou!" Oliver Si shouted.

Ethan Zhou chopped down the zombie that had chased him to the door with a fire axe, but within half a second of him pulling out the axe, two or three infected people who had been obviously bitten rushed into the hallway in the crowd. Oliver Si grabbed his wrist that was splattered with rotten blood and shouted, "Let's go! Don't worry about it, I can't control it!"

Ethan Zhou's eyes were red and bloodshot.

"Let's go, Brother Rong! We're all infected!" Emily ran against the flow of people and screamed, "Quick! Go back to the underground garage---!"

With a loud bang, a fireball rose into the sky and the destroyed helicopter exploded again in the flames.

More zombies and survivors were swept down the stairs and smashed to pieces on the street. Ethan Zhou let out a trembling, hot breath, looked around at his team members whose faces were covered in blood and mud, and suddenly shouted: "Everyone else, listen up---!"

"South corner of Area A of the underground garage, follow us!!"

"South corner of area A of underground garage---!!"

Ethan Zhou took the lead and rushed into the safe corridor.

The corridor was going crazy at this time. Many infected people mutated into zombies halfway through their run and started biting people crazily in the narrow stairwell. The number of bitten people increased rapidly at a geometric rate. The light bulb was shattered at some point, and the darkness was filled with the roars of zombies and the screams of the devoured.

Ethan Zhou used a sharp fire axe to hack and clear a path in front of him. Oliver Si was protected behind him. The stairs under his feet were covered with slippery flesh and blood. In the chaos, he had no idea how many corpses with ruptured stomachs and intestines spilled out that he had stepped on.

It seemed endless, yet it seemed to end in the blink of an eye. Ethan Zhou chopped open the door at the staircase with an axe and rushed into the underground garage first!

"Hurry, hurry, hurry! Come out!"

A group of survivors stumbled out. Ethan Zhou turned around and kicked the emergency door shut, blocking the staggering steps of the zombies behind the door. He turned back and took a quick look at the number of people. He made a quick decision: "I'll drive the biochemical vehicle, and Lucas Yan will drive the minibus. Let's go!"

This was the retreat route that Emily agreed upon when she came to see Ethan Zhou last night. In case the helicopter could not make an emergency landing on the top floor, they would use this minibus that they towed back from the street to transport the survivors to the boarding point.

Yan Haoyang took the key, slammed the brakes and stopped in front of the minibus. After taking a breath, he stood up and looked at the frightened crowd in front of him.

"Hurry up! Open the door and let us get in!"

"Don't leave us!"

"They are coming, they are coming..."

The panicked cries came one after another, especially harsh in the empty garage.

Lucas Yan's Adam's apple slid violently, and he opened his mouth several times but couldn't make a sound. At this moment, Ethan Zhou strode forward, patted his shoulder, and pushed him to the back.

He was extremely tall and sturdy, casting a heavy shadow when he stood, and his eyes slowly swept through the crowd. The roars and cries gradually subsided under this extremely oppressive gaze. Everyone looked at him in fear and confusion, and Ethan Zhou finally spoke, his voice low and clear:

"Whoever gets bitten, stays alone."

The crowd exploded instantly.

"I didn't!" "I didn't either!" "Please let us in the car!" "Please, let me in!"...

"Shut up!" Emily roared, "If you keep pushing me, no one will come!"

The noise stopped immediately, and in the silence a special forces soldier stepped forward, lifted up his sleeves, and said with a smile: "I was bitten, Brother Rong. Do you have any bullets? Give me one."

Ethan Zhou stared at his wrist, which had begun to rot, without saying a word.

Lucas Yan tried his best to cover his mouth, but in the end he could not help but let out a desperate wail like a trapped beast, and knelt down dejectedly.

Gasps and sobs were heard one after another. Ethan Zhou closed his eyes and tilted his head back. After a few seconds, he finally swallowed his tears and raised his hand to untie a bullet hanging from a string around his neck.

"This is..." he said hoarsely, "my last shot, for suicide."

Ethan Zhou loaded the bullets into the pistol, pushed the chamber into place, and walked forward to hug the special forces soldier tightly.

Each team member came forward to say goodbye to him, crying bitterly. Emily's shoulders were shaking violently, and the special forces soldier patted her back comfortingly, K!ssed her on the head like an elder brother, and finally pushed her away, looking at Ethan Zhou with tears in his eyes.

"Thank you for these years, Brother Rong." He wiped his eyes with a smile and said, "Please give me a ride one last time."

Ethan Zhou closed his eyes, his hands trembling, and put the muzzle of the gun against the team member's head.

"...Goodbye," he choked.

There was dead silence all around. After a while, a gunshot was heard in the garage.

The crowd's restlessness subsided instantly, as if boiling magma had been pressed into the ground before it erupted. The survivors looked at each other in panic, and soon another woman hesitated, stepped out of the line, her eyes red and full of tears, and said: "I... I'm a little scared."

She paused, forced a smile and said, "Are there any more bullets?"

She looked very young, with residual makeup on her face and messy hair, like an office worker who had just started working.

Ethan Zhou buried his face in his palms, and in that fleeting moment, his extremely strong shoulders and back seemed to be breaking.

Emily hesitated and slowly reached to her lower back. Just as she was about to pull out her gun, a man suddenly walked up to her from the side.

...Oliver Si? She thought in amazement.

Oliver Si stood in front of the girl and whispered, "They are out of bullets. Can I help you? I promise it will be quick."

The girl was a little scared and at a loss: "But I..."

"There won't be any pain," said Oliver Si.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, he raised his hand to wipe the dust off the girl's face, wiped off the eyeshadow blurred by tears, and combed her hair carefully and meticulously. He folded her collar and brushed off the dust on her lilac skirt, just like a gentleman gently serving a noble princess.

The girl was shaking all over, and she was unable to speak because she was trying so hard to suppress her crying. Oliver Si opened his arms and hugged her, and asked: "What's your name?"

"...Zhao...Zhao Miaomiao..."

"Miao Miao," Oliver Si whispered in her ear, "Don't be afraid, you look very beautiful."

The girl swallowed her sour tears, smiled, and said "Hmm!" loudly.

The next second, she felt a lightning-like vibration at the back of her neck --- Crack! Without even a trace of drag, her body immediately went limp.

Oliver Si held her lifeless body and slowly placed it on the ground. His movements were so gentle as if the girl had just fallen into an eternal and warm sleep.

"...Anyone else?" Ethan Zhou looked around at everyone and said hoarsely, "Anyone else? Stand up."

No one spoke or moved, and the silence as thick as glue enveloped the air. After a while, Ethan Zhou nodded to Lucas Yan, and Lucas Yan took out the car keys. Suddenly, Oliver Si said loudly: "---Stop!"

Following his gaze, he saw a middle-aged man cowering and squeezing towards the car door. Oliver Si stepped forward and pulled him out of the crowd, saying coldly: "You were bitten too."

"I didn't! I! I..."

Oliver Si forcibly grabbed his hand hidden behind his back and tore open his sleeve. His arm was already festering and emitting a strong stench.

"This is not an infection. I wasn't bitten. This is a cut from glass! The wound is festering!"

Oliver Si ignored him, pushed him far to the corner, and said to Lucas Yan: "Go open the car door."

The man flew into a rage, and yelled heartbreakingly: "You will be punished! B@st@ard! You will not die well!..."

The curses echoed for a long time. Oliver Si saw that all the survivors had boarded the biochemical vehicles and minibuses, so he turned around and asked: "Do you want to kill yourself, or do you want me to help you?"

The man threw a punch at him, Oliver Si turned his head to avoid it, but the man took the opportunity to break free from his grip and turned around to run back. Oliver Si looked at the direction where he was running, and he was actually facing the security door. His eyebrows jumped, and he reacted in an instant: "Stop---"

Ethan Zhou slammed open the passenger door and said sternly, "Oliver Si! Get in the car!"

Oliver Si rushed towards the man like an enraged cheetah; however, at the same time, Ethan Zhou stepped on the accelerator, and the tires made a sharp friction sound in the underground parking lot. He came at lightning speed and stopped in front of Oliver Si with a brake!

Ethan Zhou reached over and grabbed him. His hands were as strong and powerful as iron pliers, and he carried him around the waist and into the cab!

"Let him go!" Ethan Zhou shouted, "Follow me!"

The bulletproof biochemical vehicle made an extremely smooth drift, roared and accelerated, and crashed down the garage door!

Everyone was jolted up suddenly by the jolt. Oliver Si glanced at the rearview mirror and saw that the man had indeed opened the corridor security door. The zombies that were blocked behind the door rushed in, wailing and rushing towards the minibus.

---But it was too late. Lucas Yan had already closed the door of the minibus, started it, crushed several zombies under the bus, and followed the biochemical vehicle into the street!

The last scene reflected in the rearview mirror was the man drowned in the swarm of zombies. Oliver Si closed his eyes, and his throat seemed to be blocked by something hot, sour and hard, making him unable to make a sound.

Suddenly, a hand pressed down on his head, Ethan Zhou forcibly pulled him over and hugged him tightly:

"Don't think about it, baby."

Oliver Si rested his head on Ethan Zhou's strong and hot shoulder and nodded after a while.

"Take the Chengbei Road Expressway. We must leave here before dark." Ethan Zhou turned the steering wheel with one hand and said in a deep voice, "In three hours, Military Region B will launch a nuclear bomb to clean up City T. We don't have much time."
