As if in a dream, Liam Harris held the flowers in his arms, his eyes like the headlights of a Bentley, staring straight at Owen Travis. He was so happy that he was dizzy: "I thought you weren't coming!"
Owen Travis smiled and raised his fingertips to hook the clusters of lily petals, like scratching someone's face. If the girl who was arranging the petals had not been slow, he could have been even faster.
I expected Liam Harris to be happy, but I didn't expect it to be this happy. Owen Travis recalled the moment he braked and saw a tall figure standing alone in the middle of the road. He wondered, "Have you been waiting for me?"
"I..." Liam Harris lied, "No, I was enjoying the snow."
Owen Travis joked: "You are quite interested."
