“But we only found fifteen people. Didn’t there be twenty-five Kaladea soldiers in the reconnaissance team?” Derek said strangely.
The messenger’s face became ugly, and he slapped it on his head and said, “I’m sorry, Derek. I have no news to tell you.”
“What?” Derek’s heart became uneasy.
“There were 25 soldiers in the reconnaissance team. Fifteen were found on the outskirts of Durandel. Three people were damaged on the island during the mission. Yesterday evening… they were salvaged ashore… eight people.” The soldier said unbearably: ” In other words, except for the soldiers you have worked hard to find, everyone else has been killed.”
Derek raised his head in disbelief, after confirming what the soldier said. Immediately turned his back, frowning tightly to prevent tears in his eyes.
