For Travis, what Adrian said today, spoken in front of so many people, should be considered his biggest blow.
Mason had never asked him directly about mental health issues because he could feel that Travis was desperately trying to cover up and disguise himself. No matter how he viewed himself, he at least wanted Mason to think that he was a normal person. In other words, he admitted that he went to see a psychiatrist to prove to Mason that he was "well".
Compared to whether Travis was okay or what happened to him, Mason was more concerned about how big of a blow it would be when his "secret" was made public.
From his confident request to keep his thoughts to himself, to his feeling that it's nice to be called his boyfriend, from his saying "I know what it feels like when someone has thoughts about me" to his cautious question to this sentence.
