Near midnight, the bar is lively and the crowd is enthusiastic.
The quirky girl stood at the bar, screaming and swaying to the music. She looked so carefree, not like someone who had just experienced life and death. The splashing rose champagne was like broken diamonds under the lights, reflecting the halo of the rainbow. The air was filled with a strong smell of perfume, and the sound waves made people's eardrums hurt. Blake struggled to squeeze through the crowd and pulled Harper to hide in the corner.
"It's killing me," he said dizzily.
"Who is it that's clamoring to come to the party night at six in the morning?" Harper leaned forward slightly to look him in the eye.
Blake remained calm: "You."
