At midnight, the whole city was washed by the late summer rainstorm. The dark road reflected the street lights, like a river of glittering gold. When Chloe came out of the bathroom, Wang Yuanchen had already cooked ginger soup in the kitchen. The spicy and sweet heat covered the glass, seeming to dispel the coldness of the whole world.
"It's my first time cooking, so I don't have much experience." Wang Yuanchen handed him the pink cup, "Be careful, it's hot."
Chloe asked him eagerly: "Did Director Liang send any new information?"
Wang Yuanchen shook his head. The two had been at the command center all day, and when they came back, it happened to be raining heavily. They ran all the way from the community gate into the building and were soaked to the bone. Coupled with the stalemate with no progress, they were almost depressed.
"Everyone is trying to find a solution. Everything will be fine," Wang Yuanchen said. "Don't worry too much."
