After getting out of the elevator, Harper used the excuse of going to the bathroom and called Dana: "What on earth is going on?"

"Lawyer Zhang." Dana held the steering wheel with both hands, nimbly weaving through the traffic. She said in a serious tone, "I'll get back to you about this case in half an hour."

Harper: ...

Lawyer Zhang?

In the ward, Chloe was admiring a large bunch of pink flowers, feeling very happy. Hearing Blake's question, he replied in confusion: "The driver who caused the accident? Mr. Zhao? No, I got up at six o'clock, and he didn't come."

"His car is downstairs." Blake helped pack up and prepared to go through the discharge procedures.

"Maybe she is sick. Mrs. Zhao doesn't look in good health." Chloe felt something was not right after she said that, so she said "Pooh" twice and said seriously, "I don't mean to curse her." However, Mrs. Zhao's complexion had always been very bad, a sickly sallow color, unlike those old aunties dancing in the square, each one more rosy and plump than the other, and more flexible and agile.

Later in the evening, Yu Jiong and Wang Xiaosen also rushed over breathlessly. As soon as they entered the ward, they wailed, "No way, we still have to send flowers. With a considerate and romantic rich second-generation like Mr. Bai around, we are destined to be single in this life."

"Is the house tidied?" Blake threw over a bottle of water.

"Done." Wang Xiaosen put his arm around Chloe's shoulders, "Don't worry about my taste. I promise to make your boudoir shine."

"Oh my god." Yu Jiong's teeth ached. How could such an illiterate person be admitted to B University? Was this a sign of the loss of humanity or the decline of morality?

"It's done." Harper came in from outside with the discharge documents, "Do you want to leave now?"

"Wait!" Chloe raised her hand while sitting in a wheelchair, "I have an idea."

"Reject!" the other three people in the dormitory said in unison.

Harper smiled and asked, "What's your idea?"

As expected, Brother Han is the kindest. But it's no use just asking. Chloe hugged Blake like a dog-skin plaster that couldn't be shaken off: "I want to go to KTV."

"Brother, you are too strong-willed despite your disability, aren't you?" Blake kicked his wheelchair, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"No, I promised to treat you last time. I've finally been discharged from the hospital and I'm almost suffocating." Chloe felt sad for herself, "You all have jobs now and we only get together on weekends. What's the point of staying in my shabby rental house?"

"What do you mean we all have jobs? When you get well, we'll all be vying for your company." Wang Xiaosen pushed the wheelchair. "Okay, okay, I'll listen to you, but you can't drink this time."

Yu Jiong went to press the elevator first while holding a bunch of daily necessities. Harper asked Blake in a low voice: "Are you really going to sing?"

"Go ahead. Chloe has good intentions and wants to thank everyone for taking turns to take care of him for so long." Blake said, "Just treat it as a weekend to relax."

Harper nodded: "I have never been to a KTV before."

"Really?" Blake looked him up and down: "I don't believe it."

Harper smiled and said, "Really, today is the first time."

"Okay, then this day of every year from now on will be your KTV day." Blake patted his chest solemnly, "Remember, you must treat everyone to singing, drinking and eating crayfish." It sounds like a very good anniversary, a hundred times better than Valentine's Day.

Mr. Han readily agreed.

There were not many cars on the road, and the group quickly arrived at Jinyue KTV. Harper used the excuse of going to the bathroom and disappeared for a short while.

"What's the matter with Lawyer Zhang?" he asked straight to the point.

"Did you want me to discuss this with you in the car in front of that couple?" Dana stood outside the glass wall and glanced at Zhao Yuejin and Mrs. Zhao in the restaurant. They were stirring the coffee in front of them and looked very reserved.

"Mom, I did ask you for help, but I thought you would at least discuss it with me, or at least tell me before taking any action." Harper gritted his teeth.

"Don't worry, I haven't revealed my identity." Dana tugged at the hem of her skirt and said seriously, "I am Lawyer Liu now."

Harper: ...

"You guessed wrong. There is nothing wrong with the couple." Dana continued, "The problem is their son-in-law, named Huang Jingyuan. I will send the information about this person to your email this afternoon."

"Is it someone from the underground garage?" Harper asked.

"If I'm not mistaken, yes." Dana took off her gold-rimmed glasses, "and he might be a commander, not a lowly one."

...

Music was blaring in the room, and Wang Xiaosen held up the microphone and yelled, "Am I the one you love the most?"

Harper pushed the door open, obviously frightened.

"Why don't you speak!" Wang Xiaosen extended his hand affectionately to Mr. Han.

"Good!" Chloe cheered and applauded.

"Come here." Blake waved at him, "Order a song."

"I can't sing." Harper sat next to him, "You guys play."

"No, Brother Han, you said you can't drink and you don't sing, how boring." Yu Jiong clicked on the screen, "I'll pick one for you."

"I really can't." Harper looked at Blake for help.

"It's the KTV anniversary, how can we not sing?" Mr. Bai put his hand over his shoulder, gloating over the fact that he was in trouble. "How about this, if you choose the truth, I won't force you to sing."

Harper nodded: "Okay, what's the truth?"

Chloe raised her hand and asked loudly: "Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

"Tsk!" Yu Jiong and Wang Xiaosen collectively despised. What a rubbish question.

As for Harper's answer, it was even more boring. He said: "No."

"I don't believe it." Yu Jiong shook his head.

"I don't believe it." Wang Xiaosen seconded.

Chloe said, "I don't believe it either." Because no matter from which angle you look at it, Mr. Han is a high-quality love partner. He has an ascetic face, but he is good at fighting. He speaks in a gentle and low voice, and he is patient and meticulous in doing things. There should be a lot of girls who like him.

"Really not." Harper looked at Blake, "Look, you don't have it either."

The other three people sighed in unison when they heard this. That's true, but Mr. Bai is different. He is a rare flower in the rich second generation. He studied very hard in his freshman and sophomore years, and started a business outside the school in his junior and senior years. He was busier than a dog. But there are also benefits. Seeing that the other party has such superior innate conditions, but still works so hard, the pressure on the other roommates is doubled. After four years of college, everyone has become an outstanding graduate, which is quite glorious.

Chloe and Wang Xiaosen were still singing one song after another, while Blake and Yu Jiong were playing rock-paper-scissors and drinking, and soon they surrendered: "No, no, I feel dizzy."

"You lose." Yu Jiong fell asleep on Chloe's shoulder as soon as he finished speaking. Harper supported Blake and whispered, "Can I go out with you to get some fresh air? It's too stuffy here."

"Let's go." Blake took the coat and went to the bar to pay the bill.

This KTV is located in a very busy area, with a pedestrian street behind it. After leaving the dull and noisy private room, Blake was indeed much more sober. Harper bought him another glass of sour juice, and considerately inserted a straw and put a tissue under it, just waiting for him to take a sip to test the sweetness.

Blake shook her head and said, "You will really bring great professional pressure to Aunt Li if you behave like this."

Harper smiled. He looked at the trinkets in the window one by one and said, "I'm very afraid of her."

"That's normal. No one in the family isn't afraid of her." Blake lowered his voice, "Including my dad."

Harper bent down slightly: "Come and look at this."

"Hmm?" Blake followed his gaze and saw a small music box. Inside the crystal ball lived two little people holding hands. The surroundings were twinkling stars and countless tiny golden and blue powders were floating.

"The End of Starlight?" Blake looked at the name on the trademark. "Do you like this?"

Harper nodded.

"Then I'll give it to you." Blake said straightforwardly, "Thank you for your hard work today. You obviously have no interest in it, but you still have to sit with us in the KTV."

Five minutes later, Mr. Han received his first gift from his employer, which was dreamy, crystal clear, and full of stars. The owner was a pretty girl, and she even made a bow with a ribbon, which was also the same starry blue.

"Are you hungry?" he asked. "As a courtesy, I'll treat you to a meal."

"You can't treat me just one person, you have to treat four people." Blake pulled his sleeve and walked through the old street to a pancake shop, "Take it back."

"Is this what you want to eat?" Harper looked at the shabby sign.

"It's a very famous, time-honored brand. There's no one queuing because it's relocated." Blake took out his cell phone to take a picture, intending to let the three people in the KTV choose their meals. However, before he could press the shutter, a man came whizzing over on an electric bike, snatched his cell phone and walked away.

"Hey!" Blake was caught off guard and was almost knocked to the ground by the huge inertia.

Harper held him firmly with one hand, and with his other hand he grabbed the iron bucket placed at the door of the pancake shop and threw it into the air.

"Ah!" The onlookers screamed and scattered to safe areas.

After a dull crash, the electric bike lost control and tilted to one side, creating sparks on the ground. The thief rolled down on the sidewalk in a mess, covering his leg and screaming.

Harper picked up Blake's phone, checked it, and handed it back to him: "It's okay."

The police who heard the news took the thief away. The crowd spontaneously gave the warriors long and warm applause. Blake also said to Mr. Han seriously: "Thank you, the sesame cake is on me!"

"Let me do it. It's rare to find a cheap one." Harper smiled and took out his wallet. "What flavor do you want?"

"Chili sauce and egg." Blake stood beside him. Zhang thought for a while and said, "But then again, this is your first time to play the role of a bodyguard."

"So how did I perform?" Harper asked.

"Ninety points." Blake was generous with his praise. While waiting for the sesame seed cake, he casually picked up the iron bucket at his feet and nearly sprained his waist.

It's so heavy?!
