Nolan’s eyes flashed.
Her eyes were still red, and the tears on her face hadn’t dried yet, but her voice was still calm and clear, with some accusations and self-deprecating, or mocking him.
The tip of his heart twisted slightly.
It’s not a profound feeling, but it lingers and cannot be ignored.
After five or six seconds of silence, the man gently curled his lips, “What silly thing to say?” He squinted his eyes lightly, and continued to wipe her tears with his fingers, “If you die, you are dead. He can’t come back if he pays his life, so what’s the point?”
