Chris Lin was a thin-skinned person, and felt embarrassed by this recollection which was more of a dark history than a nostalgia. He didn't say much during the meal, and only answered politely when asked a question. The rest of the time he kept eating in silence, praying attentively that Gu Qingmeng would stop teasing him. When he came to his senses, he realized that he had almost finished both desserts.
It is impolite to monopolize a dish when dining with others. Chris Lin was very concerned. Looking at the two empty dessert plates, his cheeks flushed. He awkwardly said, "Try these two dishes too."
Gu Qingmeng waved his hand: "I don't eat desserts, I ordered all of them for you."
Chris Lin breathed a sigh of relief.
"I loved sweets when I was a kid," Gu Qingmeng smiled a little wickedly, "but then I saw you going to the dental clinic every other day, which left a psychological shadow on me, and I gradually stopped liking it."
