The reason why Water-Moon Guanyin got this name is because the image of this Dharma body is the shape of the moon viewed in the water.
His gaze is looking downward, his right hand is placed on his knee, pointing downward, in the Dhāna mudra, and his left hand is pressing down.
His right leg is bent and his left leg hangs naturally, and he sits leisurely on a rock in the water in the posture of "Ruyi Sitting". The water is full of lotus flowers, and his feet are just stepping on one of them.
Mingyun put his hands together in the Ten Seals, closed his eyes and silently prayed to the Water Moon Guanyin statue:
"Namo Great Compassionate Guanyin, may I soon obtain good conveniences."
