A light rain had just fallen in Chang'an, and five hundred Dayuan horses had been delivered from the border counties to the newly built horse farm on the outskirts of the city. More than fifty foals were led by horse servants, separated from the mares, and put into another fence.
Away from the herd, everything is unknown and unfamiliar.
The foals felt uneasy and would gather in groups of three or five, or run around, or keep neighing in childish voices, trying to call for their mothers.
The eldest prince Liu Ju was carried down from the carriage by the eunuch. Seeing the pony not far away, he could not help but get excited. He patted the eunuch's arm, and Liu Ju was put on the ground. He turned around and grabbed the eldest princess' hand. The brother and sister trotted all the way to the fence.
