The quiver was empty, and the craftsman took back the crossbow. He quickly disassembled it into a pile of parts, which were piled together in a scattered manner. It was impossible to tell what it was.

"Why tell me?" Evan Zhao said in a deep voice, suppressing his initial excitement.

Even a palm-sized crossbow was a taboo item according to the imperial court's decree. The craftsman assembled it right in front of him without any cover. Wasn't he worried at all?

"The Huns invaded last year, and then there was a natural disaster, and the grain harvest was completely destroyed. It was because of your kindness that you opened your granary to help the nearby villages, and most people were able to survive." said a craftsman.

"We are old and injured our legs before, so we walk with a limp, so we were not among those called up. Our children and grandchildren were drafted into the army and all died on the battlefield. When he said this, the craftsman's voice was choked with sobs.
