In May of the fourth year of Yuanshuo, the emperor went to Ganquan Palace, accompanied by Empress Chen Jiao, Concub!ne Xu, the eldest princess and the eldest prince.
Passing by an earthen wall dating back to the Qin Dynasty, the emperor stopped there and received an urgent Victor Zhaoy report from Chang'an, reporting that the Western Expedition army had won a great Victor Zhaoy, defeating 60,000 Yuezhi troops, beheading five Xihou tribes, capturing eleven Yuezhi nobles, and obtaining one million cattle and sheep, as well as tens of thousands of craftsmen and sheep slaves.
In the memorial, it was also attached that when they were chasing the remnants of the Yuezhi, they encountered the border guards of Daxia, and the two sides clashed. Afterwards, in order to eliminate the "misunderstanding" and avoid the escalation of the conflict, Daxia took the initiative to seek peace, sent more than a hundred boxes of gold and jewelry, and gave up a large area of land at the eastern end of the border.
From then on, the important trade routes connecting Han, the Western Regions, Central Asia and West Asia were firmly controlled by the Han Dynasty.
Through this trade route, silk, utensils, salt, sugar and various goods from the Han Dynasty continued to flow into various countries in Asia and Europe.
