It felt as if they were in another world. Neither of them spoke as the elevator went up. There was not even any basic greeting. Elliot Gu lowered her head and walked out of the elevator first.
"Your injury is much better now." Avery Shan said softly behind him.
The sound was gentle and clear, and amid the sounds of firecrackers outside, there was a festive warmth.
Elliot Gu felt something move in her heart.
"Yes, much better." He didn't say much, not because he didn't want to answer, but because he was afraid that he would suddenly break down emotionally.
