After the song ended, Ava bowed again, simply thanked the teachers, then waved and left the stage without saying a word.
Her high notes were loud, easy and smooth. Technically, she performed impeccably, at her best level. Emotionally... when she was singing, for the first time she felt emotion, a legendary thing that she had only heard of but never experienced.
In the large lounge, the singers who had performed previously were already sitting there, watching her performance which was the last one to go.
