It is impossible to throw it away. The mirror obviously knows a lot of things, but it just refuses to say or cannot say it. Damon really needs the mirror right now.
"Mirror, mirror, tell me, how can we stop the queen from continuing to do bad things?" Damon asked.
This is the most critical element. Neither the system, the narration, nor even the mirror told Damon, but it is hidden in the plot and requires the executor to explore it himself.
By now, Damon has roughly understood the system's model.
It gives all the rules, luck, the advantage of standing in God's perspective and restrictions to those who obey their fate, and gives disadvantages, concealment and freedom to those who go against their fate.
