Gabriel Su's phone rang, Ethan Jiang looked at it curiously, but still couldn't see the name on it clearly. Gabriel Su put the phone to his ear, and when he spoke, Ethan Jiang almost dropped his jaw. Gabriel Su, who always had a blank face and spoke coldly, was so gentle that he could squeeze water out of him.

"I'll come back to eat. Yes, yes, I'll be back soon." Gabriel Su listened quietly, and then continued, "Okay, leave it there, I'll come back and make it. Okay, I'll hang up first, grandma."

If he hadn't heard the last two words clearly, Ethan Jiang would have definitely thought that Gabriel Su had a beautiful wife hidden at home. After Gabriel Su hung up the phone, Ethan Jiang leaned over and asked, "Is your grandma waiting for you to come home for dinner?"

Gabriel Su nodded with a cold face.

Ethan Jiang touched his stomach which was now empty after tossing and turning for the whole afternoon.

"Where do you live?" Ethan Jiang poked Gabriel Su's arm with his elbow with a shy face. Gabriel Su frowned and was too lazy to pay attention to Ethan Jiang. Ethan Jiang poked him again persistently. Gabriel Su was silent for a long time before reluctantly giving a place name.

"Oh my!" Ethan Jiang slapped his thigh, "It's quite close to my home!"

The driver couldn't help but say, "You're not a good boyfriend! You don't even know where I live?"

"Yes, yes, yes!" Ethan Jiang nodded like pounding garlic, "I'll change it, I'll change it! Uncle, we won't go to Binzhou Community for a while, just stop at Yanghe Road, I'm going to my boyfriend's house for dinner!"

Gabriel Su was stunned for three seconds, then he mechanically turned his head and stared in disbelief at Ethan Jiang who acted on his own initiative.

The driver suddenly became happy: "Hey! That's right! Although your elders may not be very accepting of your idea, you should still give it a try, right? Start with eating first, and then gradually break it down. Listen to me, it's right!"

Ethan Jiang was so happy that he almost blurted out, "Uncle, when your son brings a man home, you must remember what I said today." But he held it back and laughed foolishly for a long time without even bothering to look at Gabriel Su's expression.

"Yanghe intersection is closer than Binzhou community, and it's not easy to turn around there. I'll stop on the opposite side in a while, and you can cross the road by yourselves." The driver turned the steering wheel, chose a shortcut, and really drove straight to the place name that Gabriel Su reported.

"Okay, okay! It's right across the street. It's not easy for you, uncle!" Ethan Jiang said casually, and the driver laughed: "Oh, you are a sensible kid!"

The two of them changed their schedules after a few words. Gabriel Su felt like an outsider and was sulking. He stared at Ethan Jiang for a long time without moving his eyes away. Ethan Jiang finally realized Gabriel Su's reaction and patted Gabriel Su's thigh in a familiar way: "Hey, it's just a meal. Don't be so stingy. You know where all my injuries came from!"

Gabriel Su: ...

As soon as they arrived at Yanghe intersection, Ethan Jiang climbed out of the car quickly, holding his hand on the door and waiting for Gabriel Su to pick up the luggage. Gabriel Su sat there for three seconds, and Ethan Jiang couldn't help but knock on the car window with a righteous look: "Hurry up, my uncle is still waiting, don't delay others' business!" Gabriel Su bit his lip and glared at Ethan Jiang with a knife-like look. Ethan Jiang was thick-skinned and smiled and blocked it back.

After the two of them unloaded their luggage, the driver turned around and shouted, "Come on!" Then he drove away without any regrets, leaving Ethan Jiang hanging on Gabriel Su and Gabriel Su, who was stiff all over, standing alone on the roadside. Ethan Jiang looked around. This area has not been developed yet. There are short and old houses everywhere. Ethan Jiang looked around and pushed Gabriel Su's shoulder: "How do we get there?"

Gabriel Su came to his senses and pulled Ethan Jiang's hand off his shoulder and said, "Take a taxi back by yourself. Don't follow me."

"Oh! How heartless!" Ethan Jiang quickly held onto the electric pole next to him to steady himself. Seeing Gabriel Su dragging his luggage away without looking back, Ethan Jiang suddenly became anxious. This place is the old city area and taxis generally don't come here, so it's not easy to get a taxi.

Ethan Jiang shouted again: "You really Fcuking abandoned me!"

"Are you really not going to care?" A trembling voice sounded next to him. Ethan Jiang was startled and turned his head to see a little old lady who looked pretty good with her hands behind her back, smiling at him. "Oh grandma, you..." Ethan Jiang was wondering when suddenly a burst of hurried footsteps came over. Gabriel Su pulled the box and quickly returned. Ethan Jiang thought that this guy had a change of heart, but he saw Gabriel Su holding the little old lady's arm and frowning and scolding: "It's so cold, what are you doing out here?"

Ethan Jiang immediately realized that this must be Gabriel Su's grandmother. Ethan Jiang's grandparents passed away early, and his grandparents lived in another place, so he could only see them once a year at most. Ethan Jiang, who had no elderly people at home, felt very close to Gabriel Su's grandmother when he saw her, and quickly shouted at the top of his voice: "Hello, grandma!"

The old lady was so happy that her face was full of joy. Gabriel Su couldn't hold back his anger and frowned angrily: "What are you yelling about!"

Ethan Jiang touched his face. It seemed that it was not his turn to call Gabriel Su's grandmother, so he changed his words and called her grandma. The old lady was still very happy. She touched Ethan Jiang's arm and asked with a grin: "Mo Mo's classmate?"

"Hey!" Ethan Jiang winked at Gabriel Su with a sullen look on his face, "Mo Mo's classmate!" He deliberately shouted the word "Mo Mo" very loudly.

"Okay, okay." The old lady smiled kindly, "Momo, it's not right for you to do this. How can you abandon your classmates?"

"That's not right." Ethan Jiang immediately followed up. Gabriel Su glared at Ethan Jiang, then lowered his head to support the old lady and gently advised: "Grandma, don't worry about him, let's go back."

"How can that be!" The old lady was a little unhappy, "Why don't you just leave it alone? At least you should go home and have dinner before leaving. How long has it been since you brought your classmates home?"

Gabriel Su wanted to say that it was not me who brought him back, it was this brazen guy who followed me here on his own initiative, don't worry about it, really don't worry about it, but Ethan Jiang didn't give Gabriel Su a chance to speak, he endured the pain and held the handle of the suitcase with one hand, and supported the old lady with the other hand and nodded repeatedly: "Hey! I'll listen to grandma! I'll eat before I leave!"

The old lady was delighted when she saw Ethan Jiang. She immediately shook off Gabriel Su's hand and followed Ethan Jiang forward. The two of them leaning against each other looked more like a pair of grandparents and grandchildren. Gabriel Su sighed silently, paused, and then dragged the luggage over helplessly. He did not help the old lady, but instead used his palm to steady Ethan Jiang's waist from behind.

Ethan Jiang turned around in surprise: "What do you mean?"

Gabriel Su glanced at the old lady and said, "Walk steadily, don't hit my grandma."

"Hey." Ethan Jiang responded, and tried to straighten his back. The three of them walked slowly along the narrow alley, two in front and one behind, for a long time. Ethan Jiang kept turning his head to look around at the increasingly dilapidated houses, and sighed: "Grandma, your place is very old!"

There was no awkward silence, no annoying surprise and sympathy, and no abrupt change of subject. Ethan Jiang stated a fact in a straight-forward way. The old lady continued to chatter along with Ethan Jiang's words, and Ethan Jiang also joined in with a few words, as naturally as if Ethan Jiang had grown up here, listening to the old lady talking about the neighbors and laughing like a fool.

Gabriel Su's tense shoulders suddenly relaxed. No one minded, but he was the one who minded.
