Because of the ringing of the bell in the clock tower in the square, a large number of zombies moved there. In addition, Lu Ren killed quite a few zombies here, so the journey was quite safe. It was easy to avoid a few wandering zombies seen from afar.

"Where are we going now?" Ethan asked during the break.

"library."

"There must be a lot of zombies there. After all, the study room is still open at this time." Ethan said hesitantly.

Blake Song shook his head: "Today is Friday, have you forgotten? The library closes at 8pm on Friday nights, so most people should have left by now. The trouble is that we might run into the group of zombies on the way back to the dormitory. Fortunately, the clock square is not far from the library, so most of them should be lured away."

Although the lights were still on in the library in the distance, there were not many zombies. Crossing the Pigeon Square in front of the library, the two successfully entered the library through the safety passage of the underground garage and avoided the zombies at the door.

The library was quiet. There were a few zombies wandering in the wide hall. Since Blake Song had no long weapons, Ethan stepped forward consciously and prepared to clear out the zombies blocking his way.

Ethan held his breath, lowered his center of gravity, and took each step lightly. He slowly approached the zombie from behind, but he did not feel any thrill of hunting. He only felt disgusted by approaching the monster.

Five meters, four meters, three meters... getting closer! The zombie sensed his presence and stopped moving forward for a moment. Ethan instantly accelerated and rushed forward like a cheetah, hitting the zombie hard from behind. With the adrenaline bursting, he could even smash the back of the zombie's head with one blow. The zombie collapsed to the ground, with Ethan stepping on his back and then the iron pipe chopped through the broken skull, completely destroying its brain.

With a slight "pop" sound of mucus, Ethan pulled the iron pipe out from the back of the zombie's head. The brain mixed with dirty blood stuck to the iron pipe, looking extremely disgusting.

Ethan withdrew his foot that was stepping on the zombie's back and did not look at the dead monster again. Instead, he made an OK gesture to Blake Song behind him.

"That's a lot of progress, it's impressive." Blake Song directly praised Ethan's quick and decisive actions.

In less than an hour, this clumsy rookie who could even knock over a chair had acquired the minimum fighting skills needed to survive.

But skills alone are not enough, if there is no corresponding awareness...

Ethan smiled shyly, as happy as a student who was praised by his teacher.

"Ethan." Blake Song suddenly called out to Ethan who was about to move forward.

"What?" Ethan turned around.

Under the bright light of the library, Blake Song, standing in the marble-paved hall, was as handsome as the girls' dream library idol - if you ignored the scattered zombie corpses around him.

"If someone in the team just now was bitten, would you take out the antibodies?" Blake Song asked.

"That depends on who it is." Ethan thought for a moment and said hesitantly, "... Well, actually I don't know... Oh, I can't think of it. If it's Clara Zhou and Naomi Gao, I might give it to them, but forget about Logan Zhao and Tyler Liu. I can't stand their attitude towards you."

Lin Jueting felt sorry for Blake Song. If he hadn't reminded these people, they would have been trapped and died in the Clock Square. However, they didn't trust Blake Song at all.

Blake Song smiled slightly and did not explain.

Ethan was surprised by his rare smile. He looked at him curiously for a few more times, and always felt that...the senior's smile was very meaningful.

Ethan, who felt that his IQ was not enough, scratched his hair and followed Blake Song into the elevator room. There were two elevators, one stopped at the fourth floor and the other stopped at the first floor.

"Do we need to use the elevator? I always feel it will be very dangerous. What if there are zombies when we open it?" Ethan muttered, but still let Blake Song press the button.

"Use your brain to think about it. Do you think there might be zombies in the elevator parked on the first floor?" Blake Song asked without turning his head.

"Uh..." Ethan was choked, and his mind was suddenly in a tangle for a long time.

In fact, the elevator stops on the first floor mostly because someone comes down from the upper floors, and then the elevator door opens automatically, so the possibility of zombies inside is very small.

The elevator door opened with a ding. Blake Song did not go in immediately. Instead, he looked at the elevator on the fourth floor thoughtfully: "There is only an electronic reading room on the fourth floor. It closes at 5 pm on Friday. It should be relatively safe. There are three staircases up and down the library. It is unlikely to be blocked. Let's go there for shelter."

Ethan swallowed his saliva and asked incredulously: "Do you remember what time the electronic reading room closes?"

Blake Song glanced at him and said, "It's written in the lobby on the first floor. I just saw it when you were fighting the zombies."

...

The two entered the elevator. Blake Song pressed the button for the fourth floor and said to Ethan, "There may be one or two zombies on the fourth floor. Be careful."

"How do you know? Didn't you just say there shouldn't be anyone there?"

Blake Song glanced at him with a look that could be described as the look of a top student seeing the test scores of a poor student. Ethan tightly grasped the iron pipe in his hand, not wanting to say that he hadn't figured it out yet.

With a "ding" sound, the elevator door opened. The light in the elevator room on the fourth floor was much dimmer than that downstairs. Only the light from the vending machine next to it illuminated the place.

As soon as Ethan stepped out of the elevator, he saw a zombie wandering in the elevator. The zombie also smelled the breath of the living and howled and pounced on the two. Ethan found an opportunity to show his skills and pushed the iron pipe in his hand forward. The iron pipe hit the zombie's abdomen. It was pushed out all of a sudden and hit the wall. It struggled with its hands and feet. Without waiting for Ethan to continue attacking, Blake Song took two steps forward and pierced its temple with the dagger he got in the square.

The blood groove of the dagger was soaked with zombie blood. Blake Song frowned and wiped it with the zombie's clothes. The effect of the dagger with a blood groove on zombies was far less than that of a trench thorn, which showed that his luck was really not good.

"You were right. There is a zombie on the fourth floor." Ethan kicked the dead zombie to make sure it was completely dead.

"Isn't this obvious? There is an elevator stopped at the fourth floor. It is obvious that someone took the elevator to the fourth floor, or someone pressed the elevator button on the fourth floor. I thought it was the administrator of this floor, but it turned out to be a student."

After the two confirmed that there were no more zombies on the fourth floor, they continued to rest in the elevator. Ethan searched his pockets and finally found two one-yuan coins. He exchanged them for a bottle of mineral water from the vending machine and drank half of it in one breath, but the hunger in his stomach became more obvious.

Noticing Blake Song leaning against the wall with his arms folded, Ethan kindly handed him a half-full bottle of water. Blake Song stared at the unscrewed bottle cap for a few seconds, finally took it and took two sips, and reminded him: "It's best not to drink too much, if you don't want to look for a toilet all over the world."

Ethan shrugged and said nonchalantly: "Just solve it on the spot."

Blake Song revealed an expression of obvious disgust, and Ethan thought that this was a kind of mysophobia unique to medical students.

"I don't know what happened to the other guys." Ethan said.

"If they can get to the student activity center, maybe a few of them can survive, but..." Blake Song sneered, "The hope is too slim."

"Why, because there might be Judas?" Ethan asked curiously.

"It's not a possibility, it's a certainty." Blake Song's eyes were stern and his voice was cold. "Didn't you notice? When we met Lu Ren, there was already one more person among us!"
