Blake woke up from his sleep when it was still dark.
He slept on the side near the window, and a thin breeze squeezed in through the open window and blew on his face, which made him feel a little tingling. It took him less than a second to go from sleeping to waking up.
All the lights in the room were turned off, and it was pitch black. The only light source in the room was the light coming in from the window. There was orange street light, frosty white moonlight, and perhaps a little bit of dim dark blue. They mixed into a beam and shone in from the only remaining half of the window that was not blocked by the curtains, creating a small area of light on the ground, and there were a few finger-thick light strips that jumped up from the ground and illuminated the edge of the bed.
Blake raised his fingers, and although he didn't touch anything, he captured the bright white light between his fingers.
Blake has never felt so good.
