Sam stared at his hand, which looked perfectly normal.
"What's wrong with your hand?" Xiu's voice came from the side. "I've been looking at my hand since yesterday."
Sam stretched out his hand, and his fingers passed across Xiu's palm, then bent through the gaps between his fingers. He held Xiu's hand tightly, with their palms together and their fingers interlocked.
There was no transparency or phantom, and the penetration I saw yesterday seemed like an illusion.
Sam sincerely hoped that it was an illusion, or that the instability of space caused that situation. After all, his hand was only illusory for a moment when he just returned to the circular hall, and it returned to normal before anyone noticed. Sam found various reasons to reassure himself, but when he thought of the scene he saw in the time corridor, the blood in his body suddenly seemed to solidify.
