Previously, everyone thought that Ethan Stone was a competitor, and that he had used a backdoor and had an advantage over them, so they were not afraid even if people gossiped about him behind his back. But now, when they heard that he was actually a member of the production team, everyone fell silent.

As the actors went in to perform one by one, Director Daniel Mitchell would often ask Ethan Stone: "What kind of questions do you think should be used to test him?"

After the actors finished their performances, they would ask for his opinions: "What did he do poorly? What did he do well?" It was obvious that Director Daniel Mitchell really liked to hear his opinions. The actors didn't show it on their faces, but they were in a state of panic. They didn't dare to gossip about him at the audition, and could only send messages privately to verify: "Oh my god, who is Ethan Stone? He's not the lead actor, so how can he have so much say? The casting director doesn't have as much power as him!"

Actually, that was not the case. Although Director Daniel Mitchell wanted to ask Ethan Stone, he was just asking. The final decision on who would play the role would still have to be made after he watched the video for the second time and he had a meeting with the casting director to discuss it.

Movies and TV series are different. In a TV series, the casting director may be able to directly decide on the supporting actors, but as a director who has directed his own movies, he participates in the casting process throughout.
