Christmas in country B is equivalent to New Year's Day. Therefore, this holiday will last from a week before Christmas to the middle and early January of the following year, which is basically staggered with the Chinese New Year. Just like the Chinese New Year, all locals will rush home to reunite with their families before the holiday.
Therefore, this date day and shopping mall promotion day in the eyes of Chinese people is completely different abroad. One or two days before and after Christmas, all local supermarkets and stores will be closed. International students must stock up on food in advance. Moreover, against the background of others singing Christmas songs and reuniting with each other, international students are like dandelions wandering outside, homeless and lonely. Because of this, many international students who have had such bitter experiences will choose to travel together at Christmas or even book tickets in advance to return home to celebrate the New Year early.
It was Ervin's first year in Country B. He had no idea what loneliness was like, so he didn't make any plans for Christmas in advance. He just imagined that fireworks would be set off all over Country B and it would be bustling with activity.
It was not until the day before the holiday that Ervin learned that Ben and Noah were planning to return to China.
Ben exaggeratedly bought a plane ticket for midnight that night after the holiday. When Ervin found out, he was shocked: "Why are you in such a hurry to go back?"
