"I told you not to reply." Adrian took Ervin's phone while he was distracted.
Ervin rushed to Adrian anxiously: "This is not an ex-girlfriend! This is an old friend! I have to reply to him! Otherwise I will be so angry!"
Adrian held up the phone and asked, "Tell me what he said first."
Ervin explained this and that, and told Evor about his grievances, while standing on tiptoe to ask for the phone back.
"A friend would say something like that? He's their friend, not yours." Evor was so weak that she didn't even want to tap his forehead. How could Ervin drop out of school if it wasn't because of her? If she hadn't abandoned Ervin, would Ervin have come to this point?
