Ervin paused. He heard Jack calling his name miserably behind him, and heard Jack shouting hoarsely, "Don't go. I have something to say to you."... His heart suddenly softened.
But before he had time to think about it, he was pulled into the hotel elevator by Adrian, and Jack and the others were ruthlessly stopped outside after Adrian signaled to the security guard.
Jack looked at Ervin's departing back, his face pale and his heart dead.
In fact, he didn't know what to say after calling Ervin, he just wanted Ervin to stay...
Hearing the news that he had dropped out of school, he was worried. He hoped that it was just Ervin's temper, and that after they apologized and made amends, Ervin would come back. But when he heard from others that Ervin had really decided to leave, he panicked!
