In the Buddhist hall of Jokhang Temple, an eminent monk used gold ink to write a prayer for the reincarnation of the dead. The calligraphy was fluent, graceful and shining. Together with Pema, he rolled the prayers into incense candles and made them into wicks. Baima inserted the rolled wick into the large butter lamp and lit it. The wick burned slowly while Baima prayed silently.
Pema went to major monasteries in Lhasa to worship Buddha and gods, praying that the souls of the deceased could enter the realm of bliss as soon as possible. In addition to offering lamps and food to Yangzong and his daughter, and inviting lamas to chant sutras and keep vigil, the Dele Mansion also compensated the Lundup family for their losses in the fire. Baima took the initiative and distributed the remaining goods of the pack team to Guotou and the guys. Tashi also subsidized the expenses and sent everyone back to Xikang.
Nazhen basically guessed who was responsible for burning Yangzong and his daughter to death. Her conscience was reproached and she was troubled by nightmares. So, she sneaked into Pajia's house again.
As soon as they met, Nazhen asked Pajia: "Don't hide it, tell me the truth, you started the fire, right?"
Pa Jia's face darkened and he said rudely: "You still have to ask, I will do it according to your wishes."
