Life in this deep house went on as usual. That night had no impact on the eldest young master. He continued to calmly control every step of the Yuwen family's business and interpersonal relationships, allowing this once huge family to operate normally.

But the guiding star could not remain unaffected.

From that night on, she would have a high fever late at night and lie unconscious in bed.

The room was divided into two by a curtain. By the time the two realized that their daughter was not right, she had been feverish for who knows how many nights. The mother loved her daughter so much that she went out with a lantern to find a doctor despite her father's objection even though it was late at night. Luna applied a compress to her forehead and barely regained some consciousness. She stood up and wanted her mother to come back and talk about it in the daytime, but she fell back on the bed and fainted before she could even stand up.

Before she reached the gate, a man came up the path. Yin Xingniang was so anxious that she almost bumped into him. The man came over to help her and asked in a gentle voice, "What's wrong? Why are you so flustered?"

Yin Xingniang raised the lantern, and the pale yellow light shone on the jade-like long gown in front of her. She saw the person coming with a high nose and deep eyes, as handsome as a banished immortal. It was the second young master Liam Yuwen who came back once a year.

He has been very kind to servants since he was young. He is about the same age as Luna, and she watched him grow up. When she heard his question, her nose felt sore and her throat seemed to be choked by something: "Luna, this child has a high fever. I want to go out and find a doctor."

"It's hard to find a doctor outside at this hour," Liam Yuwen first comforted Luna Niang, then led the way inside, "I'll go take a look."

He thought she had just caught a cold, but when the curtain was opened, he saw a red-faced person lying on the small bed. Liam Yuwen hurried over and touched her hand, which was burning hot. He couldn't wait any longer, so he wrapped her in the quilt and went to find a doctor he knew.

Yin Xing's parents followed behind him, but when they left the room with him, they looked up and could not see the figure of the second young master. They only knew that the second young master had followed his master to learn martial arts since he was a child and was very skilled.

The bitter medicine poured into her mouth, making her stomach churn and she couldn't help but think of the night when the young master called her over. Her request for help was useless, and she felt like she was dying because of his torture... She thought it was just one night, and she could just pretend it never happened, but she never dared to get close to him or look at his face during the day.

Luna was talking incoherently in her sleep, with her brows furrowed and tears streaming down her face. Liam Yuwen just thought she was suffering from a fever, so he got her some water and stood by her side, wiping her face and forehead from time to time.

When it was almost Qingming Festival, the fever in her body subsided and the doctor told her to take more medicine. Liam Yuwen came over with a bowl of medicine to feed her.

Luna was exhausted, and her eyes seemed to be covered with fog. She blinked a few times to see things, but she saw a face in front of her. It was her nightmare, Nathan Yuwen. He was about to feed her something.

"Ah! Don't touch me! Please don't touch me!" She trembled all over, and immediately stood up and hit him in fear. The black liquid splashed all over them. She was so burned that she tore her clothes and hit him. He didn't care about himself and hurried to look at her.

"Luna," Liam Yuwen grabbed her wrist and called her in a low voice, "Luna, it's me."

Unlike the eldest young master who was always calm and composed, the second young master was a very comfortable breeze and bright moon. When she heard it was him and looked up to see clearly that it was him, she was not so scared, but they were brothers after all, so she kept a distance from him cautiously: "Second young master. What is this...?"

"Your mother said you had a high fever, so I brought you out to see a doctor."

It's only been a few days since I last saw her, but she seemed to have lost a lot of weight, and her pair of slender willow-shaped eyebrows were always furrowed, as if she was hiding some sorrow and worries.

"Did something happen in the mansion?"

To be continued, read on the next page Luna raised his eyes, his eyes flickered, but he didn't dare to believe him: "Nothing... nothing..."

He didn't know what to say, so he went out to ask the medicine boy to boil another bowl of medicine, and asked the doctor for two sets of clothes that barely fit him.

She wanted to finish the medicine by herself, but perhaps because she was too feverish, Luna's hands were too weak and she almost spilled the medicine as soon as she picked up the bowl. Liam Yuwen came over and took the bowl and was about to feed her.

After hesitating for a while, Luna could only lean on his arms and let him feed him the medicine one spoonful at a time.

The doctor finished his work in the front hall, came over to feel the patient's pulse, confirmed that he was fine, and told the two to go back: "Master Yuwen, you know a little bit about medicine, so don't wake me up in the middle of the night again."

Liam Yuwen pursed his lips. He didn't want to, but when he felt the back of her hand was burning hot, he didn't dare to treat it himself, for fear that something might happen to her.

Yin Xing heard this and thought that he was entrusted by his parents, "Second Master, Doctor, thank you very much."

The old doctor looked at the two people in front of him. Liam Yuwen's ears were red, and his gestures were different from his usual carefree style. He was very humble and polite and whispered to her that she didn't need to thank him.

The doctor immediately understood what was going on, and before leaving, he pretended to be worried and said, "Second Young Master, I see that your body is also red, do you have a high fever too?"

The latter gave him a sharp look, and the old doctor felt relieved, raised his eyebrows and left with a smile.

The content is not finished, continue reading on the next page. The two wore the clothes from the medicine hall and returned to the Yuwen family together. Nathan Yuwen got up very early every day. When he went out, he saw that the two were wearing the same clothes, so he stopped. He looked down at Liam Yuwen from the carriage and said, "What are you doing?"

"It has nothing to do with you." Liam Yuwen didn't look happy.

When Nathan Yuwen frowned, his eyes became so deep that it seemed as if a storm was coming, making people feel frightened for no reason: "Don't think about anything else until the matter is done!"

It is not appropriate to argue at the door, so Liam Yuwen pulled Luna in, and Luna followed behind without daring to ask any more questions.

Nathan Yuwen frowned even deeper, rubbing his forehead with his fingers: "Don't pay any attention to serious matters. Sooner or later, he will piss you off to death."

The little servant who followed in the carriage handed him a cup of tea to calm him down: "After all, the master and his wife have never let the second young master take charge of the affairs of the mansion..."

After drinking the hot tea, Nathan Yuwen leaned on the cushion and thought about the past. The two were only one year apart. When they were five or six years old, a brother who had been worshipped by his father in the martial arts world came to the mansion. He was willing to accept an apprentice because he was said to be very skilled. Nathan Yuwen had longed for a happy life of chivalry since he was a child, so he rushed to the front, but the man touched his muscles and shook his head. He turned to touch his second brother beside him, just touched his palm, and praised him in surprise: "You are a good seedling for martial arts. Will you follow me in the future?"

He watched his second brother become a disciple, and watched the master and his second brother have a good time. He couldn't even put on a fake smile. Even though he was resourceful since he was a child, the Yuwen family had high hopes for him, and his parents also focused on cultivating him, and even let him gradually take charge of the family business after a few years, but he

Nathan Yuwen closed his eyes and supported his head with his hands. The person he had always envied was Liam Yuwen, who went out with his master every year.
