The moment the ominous red moonlight shone on the continent, Veles clearly realized that he would be facing a very bad situation.
He miscalculated the impact of the red moon on himself. Or, to put it more accurately - he underestimated his own power.
His body is expanding, or growing.
The originally empty cage soon became stuffy and cramped. Sharp scales and claws grew on Veles' body, and his upper body, which could barely maintain a human form, completed the transformation in an instant.
A ferocious monster appeared.
