A series of greetings came from the phone, which scared Alex Chen so much that he shivered and quickly held the phone away. Then there was silence again.
He felt a chill on his back as he watched the slowly changing call time on the phone page. He never thought that at this age, he would still have a moment when his father would yell at him.
"Dad... calm down, okay?"
There was still some discomfort from the tinnitus in my ears, but the shock in my heart was greater than that discomfort: "Didn't you just not believe it?"
Alex Chen's father on the other end of the phone was so angry that his hands were shaking: "I believed it. I was looking forward to it with all my heart. When you just told me these things, I thought I had finally gotten the result. So what?"
