June 12, 2016 was the seventh day after Ji Ning'an's death. It is said that on this day, the deceased's soul will return to the world of the living to see his relatives and friends.

On June 12, he burned incense and paper in front of Ji Ning'an's tomb, from the cemetery to the downstairs of his community, burning a pile of yellow paper every ten meters or so, and gradually placed white candles on the steps of the apartment building.
