The man's eyes were shining with excitement and he was incredibly enthusiastic, as if he would rush over and hug him at any time.

Theo Hammond subconsciously moved to the left, away from him, without realizing that he was hiding diagonally behind Langston Xing.

"Qin Fang?"

Theo Hammond looked at him in confusion.

Qin Fang really took a step forward, waved his hands around, and said excitedly: "Blue Bar? We met there, have you forgotten?"

Although Theo Hammond was still confused, it did not affect Qin Fang's enthusiasm at all. Qin Fang suddenly rubbed his face vigorously, and he looked like he was about to cry for joy. He approached him with his teeth and claws bared like an eagle catching a chick: "I have been looking for you for a long time. The bar owner said that you have never been there since that day. I waited for you in the bar for several days, but you never showed up. I didn't expect to see you here! Oh my God, it's great!"

Qin Fang's joyous mood did not affect Theo Hammond at all. Theo Hammond looked at him calmly, which was a little too cold. If Qin Fang had a thinner skin and a more sensitive nerve, he would have realized that he was being treated coldly by Theo Hammond, which was no less than putting his warm face against his cold... well, what.

Under the gaze of Qin Fang's sparkling eyes, Theo Hammond finally remembered his face. But remembering Qin Fang's face did not make Theo Hammond feel relieved. On the contrary, his expression became more alert and his eyes became colder.

Theo Hammond remembered that he had indeed "encountered" a handsome guy at the Blue Bar a month ago. The bar was full at the time, and the handsome guy took the initiative to share a table with him. He also enthusiastically invited him to drink, and even took the initiative to pay the bill after drinking. Considering that it was just a chance encounter and that they would never have any contact after leaving the bar, Theo Hammond took it lightly and accepted Qin Fang's table. That night, he and Qin Fang drank all night, and they were both drunk in the second half of the night, so Theo Hammond had no memory of what they talked about later. He only remembered that when they broke up at the door of the bar in the early morning of the next day, Qin Fang asked him to meet at the old place in the evening.

Theo Hammond was already drunk at the time, so he agreed without thinking. However, when he went home and took a nap, his memory, which was broken by the hangover, disappeared along with the handsome guy's face.

He didn't expect to meet an "acquaintance" here, and this person turned out to be his future colleague.

Realizing this, Theo Hammond suddenly clenched his hands, his heart sank, and he looked at Qin Fang with cold and calm eyes. He quickly searched in his mind for what he had said to him that night, and was extremely afraid that he had drunk too much and said something he shouldn't have said.

Qin Fang was blinded by the excitement of the chance encounter and didn't notice that there was a lot of vigilance and hostility in Theo Hammond's eyes when he looked at him.

The two of them exchanged words, leaving Langston Xing aside. As a bystander, Langston Xing was not like Qin Fang, whose brain was dulled by the rush of adrenaline. He clearly saw the messy fragments that flashed across Theo Hammond's eyes after he recognized Qin Fang, and the sharp, cold, and hostile look in Theo Hammond's eyes.

Langston Xing looked at Theo Hammond with a dark gaze. He felt that Theo Hammond was too cold and too quiet, as calm as the surface of frozen water. Under the solid ice, no one could see the undercurrent beneath the ice.

Unconsciously, Langston Xing stopped tapping his palm with the document in his hand, and looked at Theo Hammond motionlessly without saying a word.

The three of them remained silent, each thinking about something. In the few seconds when he looked at Qin Fang, countless thoughts flashed through Theo Hammond's mind, but when he realized that Langston Xing was also staring at him, he suddenly remembered that he was in the Public Security Bureau, surrounded by iron walls. He couldn't panic, and he couldn't hide. So Theo Hammond decided to test Qin Fang, slowly adjusted a smile and said to Qin Fang: "Oh, I remember you. I had something to do the next day, so I didn't go to the bar. Sorry."

Qin Fang said hurriedly: "It's okay, it's okay."

Theo Hammond looked him in the eyes and said, "Are you looking for me? I remember I told you my name. In fact, you can ask the bar owner for the membership register to check my mobile phone number."

Qin Fang slapped his forehead and said in annoyance: "That's where it all went wrong. I got drunk that night and woke up the next day. I couldn't remember your name no matter how hard I tried."

Hearing this, Theo Hammond secretly breathed a sigh of relief, and the cold sweat on his forehead quickly faded away. He was too nervous for a moment, and when the danger was over, his feet felt weak and he almost couldn't stand. So he held on to the umbrella tightly.

"Captain Xing just said, your name is Theo Hammond?"

Qin Fang came up to him and asked.

Theo Hammond nodded, stretched out his hand and said, "Hello."

Qin Fang held his hand and said with a smile: "My name is Qin Fang, and I'm the chief physician of the detachment."

Theo Hammond raised his eyes and looked at him straight in the eye. He didn't expect that he looked so young, at most 27 or 28 years old, and he was actually a chief physician.

"Eh?"

Qin Fang held onto his hand and asked, "Why are you still wearing these gloves? I remember you were wearing them last time at the bar."

Theo Hammond pulled his hand back with a little force and said with a smile: "I am a bit of a germaphobe."

Langston Xing, who was watching a big drama, was like an outsider from beginning to end, watching them perform a clumsy encounter like watching a play. It was not until he heard Theo Hammond say that he was a mysophobe that he opened his eyelids and stared at him lazily from the corner of his eyes, with obvious suspicion in his eyes.

Theo Hammond pretended not to notice the scrutinizing look he cast at him. He just looked at Qin Fang and greeted him.

Qin Fang was a little too excited, and after talking to him for a few words, he actually wanted to hug him.

"I-I'm so Fcuking happy!"

Qin Fang said this, opened his arms and took a step forward. As soon as he moved, Theo Hammond took two steps back to avoid him.

But Qin Fang kept approaching Theo Hammond, and when he was about to get close to Theo Hammond, Cheng Yaojin suddenly rushed in.

Langston Xing forced himself between the two of them, stood in front of Theo Hammond, and accepted Qin Fang's hug on his behalf.

Qin Fang took advantage of the situation and hugged Langston Xing, saying with tears of gratitude: "Cousin, you are so, so good to me!"

Langston Xing looked down at him, tilted his lips, and sneered: "Am I good to you?"

"good!"

"Since I'm so nice to you, shouldn't you help your cousin complete those two human body puzzles?"

Pulling his cousin off his body, Langston Xing grabbed Qin Fang's shoulders and forced him to turn around, then kicked him in the B*tt: "Do your job."

Qin Fang looked back every few steps and walked into the forensic room in a sticky manner.

As soon as the third person left, the atmosphere between the two of them suddenly became a little weird. Langston Xing stood with his back to Theo Hammond for a while, then suddenly turned around and looked at Theo Hammond, with a hint of an ambiguous smile on his face: "Are you really that?"

Theo Hammond looked up at him, raised his lips and asked knowingly: "Hmm? What is it?"

Langston Xing raised his chin towards the medical examiner's office: "He came out to his family last year, and his father hung him on the beam and beat him half to death, then kicked him out. He has not been allowed to enter the house for more than a year."

Theo Hammond's dark, narrow eyes flashed with a bright, cold light. He smiled disapprovingly and said coldly, "Are you asking if his coming out has anything to do with me? Captain Xing, you're overthinking it. I just met him a month ago. Whether your family allows him to enter the house or not has nothing to do with me."

Langston Xing was silent for a moment, then smiled and said, "You think too much, Teacher Wei. I didn't say that he came out for you. Even if he did, that's nothing. I just want to say that this guy had a girlfriend before, and he doesn't have to be a man. Maybe he can have another girlfriend in the future."

Theo Hammond looked at him silently for a long time, and found it funny from the bottom of his heart. A sneer gradually spread from his heart to the corner of his lips. He snorted inaudibly and said,

"You are really stupid, Captain Xing. Do you think a person's S3xual orientation is like plasticine, you can mold it into a man if you want to, and you can mold it into a woman if you want to? Even if a person's S3xual orientation is malleable, it should be decided by him, whether he wants a woman or a man. Why should Qin Fang pay for your hopes and have a girlfriend? He is an independent-minded adult with a sound personal will.

He has left his mother's womb and his previous family. He has complete freedom to choose the lover he wants. Why do you ask a person who is born different from the mainstream to live his life according to the mainstream lifestyle? You just said that he was almost beaten to death and kicked out of his home.

Why? Did he make a mistake? No, he is just different from you, so you think he made a mistake. Although I think the saying that the truth is in the hands of a few people is equivalent to nonsense, the truth is not in the hands of the majority either.

There is no unchanging truth in the world. The truth should serve people, not enslave them. Now I see clearly that although Qin Fang has not been recognized by the truth you speak of, he has at least not been enslaved. But you, the slave mentality is deeply rooted. "

These words stayed in Langston Xing's ears. Although they were not thought-provoking or enlightening, they left him speechless for a moment and made him think a little.

Langston Xing thought: This scholar is really good at talking, his words are very aggressive, and he deserves to be the best. If it comes to talking, even a thousand or eight hundred people can hardly beat him.

Theo Hammond met his gaze, his calm eyes emitting an indestructible power, as if one person could withstand thousands of troops.

Langston Xing frowned slightly. He didn't expect that his casual ridicule would cause such hostility from this scholar. Theo Hammond's eyes were both tough and courageous, as if he was facing millions of enemy troops, ready to raise his sword and attack at any time.

After a long time, Theo Hammond saw Langston Xing suddenly curl up the corners of his lips and smile, with some helplessness and fatigue in his smile.

Langston Xing took out a cigarette case and lighter from his trouser pocket, put a cigarette in his mouth, and lit the cigarette with the flame.

The lid of the lighter was opened with a "pop" sound, and a cluster of flames came out. The flames that suddenly rose were blown sideways by the wind from somewhere in the corridor, and swayed towards Theo Hammond like a candle flame stretched by the wind.

Theo Hammond's eyes flashed, and he broke away from the fighting state and fell into the corridor that was sheltered from the wind and rain outside. He looked at the flame in Langston Xing's hand that was blown away by the wind. Only then did he realize that the people and environment he was facing were not as dangerous as he imagined.

Langston Xing stood there for a while before looking for something to support himself. He supported himself against the wall with his shoulders, holding a cigarette between his fingers and resting it against the corner of his lips.

His misty and dark eyes seemed to be ignited by the flame just now, and now they were unusually scorching. He looked at Theo Hammond and said with a smile: "I find you quite interesting.

You look gentle and polite, but in fact you have a worse temper than anyone else. You get mad at any moment, like a fighting cock. But I'm a little confused, is your vicious temper directed only at me, or is it for everyone to be equal and share opportunities?"

Theo Hammond: "...You think too much. I didn't target you on purpose. I was just discussing the matter at hand."

Seeing Theo Hammond putting on a polite, courteous, cold and distant smile, Langston Xing suddenly felt completely bored, and the smile on his lips quickly collapsed. He stared at Theo Hammond for a while and asked again: "Are you afraid of me?"

Theo Hammond was silent for a moment, then smiled: "No."

"hate me?"

"...nor."

Langston Xing slowly pulled the corner of his lips apart and smiled: "You are not afraid of me, nor do you hate me, so do you like me?"

Theo Hammond: ...

Just as he was about to say "no", Langston Xing laughed awkwardly and said, "You look like that again... I was just joking, don't be angry."

Soon, Langston Xing's face returned to calm, and the light mist in his eyes seeped into his dark pupils little by little. He said in a deep voice: "Since you are neither afraid of me nor hate me. Then why are you always on guard against me? Don't say you don't have any. I am not blind. I can see the hostility in your eyes towards me."

Theo Hammond's cleverness, cunningness and eloquence were of no use at this moment, as he was stumped by Langston Xing's question.

Langston Xing asked him a long question, but before he could answer, a cold light flashed across his face and toward the crowd behind him. He knocked hard on the wall with the document in his hand and shouted, "It's time for a meeting!"

After saying that, he took Theo Hammond's file and walked into the meeting room first.
