Ulungu Lake is one of the top ten freshwater lakes in China. Although it is in the desert, it is the most famous wild fish fishing area in Xinjiang. It is called the “God of the Seas”. Every winter and January, there will be a grand winter fishing event, which will open the ice and fish in the net.
