A Rottweiler walked slowly towards them. Its thick paw pads made its steps silent, but its heavy breathing, which smelled of blood, was creepy in the dark night.

The two men didn't dare to move and tried to shrink into the back seat of the car, but they knew it was futile.

The Rottweiler had already discovered them. It stuck its huge head into the car and stared at them greedily with its green eyes. It bared its teeth slightly. Its fangs, which were as long as a human finger, looked ferocious and terrifying. Saliva mixed with blood flowed from the corners of its mouth.

Alex Cong didn't dare to look at it and closed his eyes tightly. Tony Cheng glared at him fiercely without giving in in momentum. He held the saber tightly in his hand and watched the monster's movements without blinking. The two sides were competing with each other and neither of them took the first move.

Tony Cheng is a sniper in the special forces. His personality is indeed suitable for being a sniper. The more critical the situation, the more calm he can remain. The sniper's skills are fed by bullets, but his willpower is forged by strong endurance.

At this critical moment, Tony Cheng suddenly heard a sound that shouldn't appear here... the sound of a baby crying.

Very clear, no more than 5 meters away from them.

The moment the crying sound was heard, the Rottweiler that had been ready to attack suddenly pounced in, trying to bite Tony Cheng's shoulder and drag them both out of the car.

Tony Cheng was well prepared, and he stabbed Rowena's eyes with the Jungle King Saber in his hand.

A high-pitched howl of pain was heard, and the Rottweiler fell painfully into the car, twisting and rolling wildly in the narrow space.

In an instant, the other three Rottweilers on the periphery pounced on the car. They rammed the car body and tried to turn it over. However, they couldn't push the car because it was too heavy, so they went around to the back door and bit the iron sheet with their sharp teeth.

The two men watched helplessly as the finger-long teeth sank into the car body, and the broken leather scraped their mouths and made them bleed. However, they did not stop, but became even more crazy.

When a Rottweiler's face tried to squeeze through the gap in the broken car body, Tony Cheng punched it in the nose.

The fist with strong wind hit the nose, the most vulnerable part of the dog. The Rottweiler fell to the ground howling, looking in great pain.

The violent shaking of the car body and the biting of the canine teeth made it impossible for the two men to hide in the car. They could only crawl out in a panic. Tony Cheng took out a pistol and shot at the remaining two dogs.

But the two Rottweilers were extremely agile and didn't hit any of them.

But the sound of gunfire stopped the two dogs from attacking them.

Tony Cheng pointed his gun at them while pulling Alex Cong back under the highway. After walking four or five meters, they found a dog on the side of the road. It was the size of an ordinary Rottweiler that had not evolved, and it looked like a female.

Because there was no light on the road, visibility was extremely low. If you didn't walk up to it, you wouldn't have noticed that there was another one here.

But the B!tch did not attack them. Instead, it let out a low, hoarse cry of fear and retreated step by step. Right behind the B!tch, there was a package of white things.

As Tony Cheng approached the female dog, the male dogs barked wildly and rushed towards them desperately. Tony Cheng pointed the gun at the female dog. The female dog shrank her body, and although she looked terrified, she did not retreat. Instead, she kept protecting the things behind her.

The Rottweiler that was hit on the nose by Tony Cheng also stood up. The three male dogs kept barking three meters away from them, but did not dare to approach.

Alex Cong said in a trembling voice: "The female dog's puppies should be behind her. This dog just gave birth."

Tony Cheng said in a deep voice: "Go to the car now, take out my backpack, and throw your backpack to them."

Alex Cong shuddered violently. She didn't say no, but she didn't dare to move either.

"Go." Tony Cheng pushed him.

Alex Cong clenched his fists, suppressed his great fear, and walked towards the shattered car step by step. The three dogs looked at him dimly. Under the gaze, Alex Cong's legs couldn't stop shaking.

Finally, he walked safely to the car, climbed over the body of the Rottweiler that had stopped breathing, pulled the two people's backpacks out of the back seat, threw his backpack full of food far away, hugged Tony Cheng's bag in his arms, and quickly ran back to Tony Cheng.

The two men stepped back step by step, and when they passed by the female dog, they were surprised to find that the bag of white cloth contained not the female dog's puppies, but a human baby!

The baby's swaddling clothes were very dirty and his little face was black. He looked to be only one or two months old and was crying for food.

The B!tch was trembling all over, her hair standing on end, but she still stood in front of the baby and glared at the two men fiercely.

Alex Cong took a deep breath, "Could it be that they treat this child as their own cub?"

Tony Cheng didn't say anything. He focused all his attention on the male dogs, not letting down his guard. It wasn't until the two of them crossed the guardrail of the highway and half of their bodies were buried in the weeds that he grabbed Alex Cong and ran away.

Alex Cong had never felt that he had run so fast before. He felt his body was very light, and there seemed to be no resistance in front of him. Instead, there was a gust of wind swirling under their feet, giving them assistance, so that even though he was carrying such a heavy package, he still did not feel any effort when running.

Sure enough, the three dogs caught up with them, and the two of them ran as fast as they could, and finally their entire bodies were submerged in the weeds that were more than one meter tall.

Although the three dogs knew their location, the pursuit was severely hampered due to the complex terrain and obstructed vision. The two men and three dogs were engaged in a desperate chase in the endless grass.

The two men didn't know how far they had run. They couldn't see the road under their feet, nor the road ahead. The weeds completely blocked their vision. If Tony Cheng hadn't been trained to have the ability to identify directions when his vision was obstructed, they would probably have run back to where they started after going around in a circle.

Gradually, Alex Cong's physical strength began to fail. The barking of the dogs behind him was getting closer and closer. Suddenly, the two of them felt their feet empty and their bodies instantly lost weight, rolling down uncontrollably.

"Ah ah---" Alex Cong screamed in horror.

The next second, the two fell to the ground together. Although there was thick weeds under them, they still saw stars. Alex Cong had just experienced a car accident and experienced a free fall. His bones were almost broken and he lay on the ground unable to move.

Tony Cheng jumped up from the ground, holding his gun alertly, and whispered, "Where's my backpack? There's a flashlight in it."

"Backpack..." Alex Cong felt around him, and found that his backpack had fallen somewhere. He quickly took out his cell phone, which still had enough power. He turned on the flashlight on his cell phone and saw that his backpack had fallen not far from them.

Tony Cheng hurried over and took out a flashlight.

As the strong flashlight turned on, the surrounding space instantly became clear.

The place they were in was really like a cave, and it was covered with weeds all around. They rolled down the weeds, which were at least three stories high. If it weren't for the thick vegetation below, they would have fallen and died. It was nearly ten meters away, and they couldn't climb up.

But how could there be a cave under the highway?

The barking sounded overhead for a while and then disappeared. It seemed that the Rottweilers had finally given up.

Tony Cheng walked around the wall and said, "It's an abandoned sewage pipe."

The inner wall of the pipe has been covered by vegetation, and its original appearance cannot be seen at all. Alex Cong carefully observed it with the light and analyzed its shape and location. It is indeed only reasonable to use it as a sewage pipe. Fortunately, it is abandoned, because he does not want to fall into the stinking ditch.

"How do we get out?"

"You can't climb up, you can only walk inside."

Alex Cong glanced deep into the dark pipe and swallowed nervously.

Who knew what else was waiting for them inside? He didn't want to go any further.

Tony Cheng began to fully arm himself.

He stuffed two sabers and two pistols on his body, and assembled a Chinese-made 56 submachine gun and hung it on his chest. In Alex Cong's eyes, it was like going to the battlefield, but the situation they faced was not much better than the battlefield.

Alex Cong said, "We should at least wait until daybreak. The underground sewage pipes may be several thousand meters long, and the ground is already covered with vegetation. We may never get out once we go in. It is better to wait until daybreak when the light is better before thinking of a solution."

"After daybreak, visibility here is no more than a hundred meters. Going further in, it's still pitch black. Is there any difference?"

Alex Cong was speechless for a moment. He was just scared and didn't want to go in.

Tony Cheng saw through his thoughts, pulled up the strap of his backpack and handed it to Alex Cong, "Hold it, and watch your step."

Alex Cong looked at his cold face in the dim light, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart. Although they had known each other for less than a day, they had already experienced two life-and-death challenges. This man seemed unkind, but he had never given up on him. Maybe in Tony Cheng's heart, he only regarded him as a task target, but he regarded Tony Cheng as a friend of life and death.

Alex Cong couldn't help but pounce on him and hugged him tightly.

A hint of surprise flashed across Tony Cheng's eyes.

Alex Cong hugged Tony Cheng for a while and then let go. He patted Tony Cheng's shoulder and exhaled heavily, "Even if we die, we can still be companions on the road to the underworld. I will listen to you, let's move forward."

After saying that, he grabbed the strap of Tony Cheng's backpack, and the two of them walked into the dark, vegetation-covered sewage pipe.
