The park near the company is usually crowded in the afternoon. There are elderly women dancing in the park square, mothers pushing their children to play in the park, and occasionally some students holding drawing boards. In short, the whole park is very lively.
But perhaps because the weather was too hot today, there were not many people in the park. Avery and Nathan went to the old tree and sat down on the flower bed next to it.
The scorching sun shone through the lush branches and leaves of the old tree, casting mottled shadows on the ground. Avery reached out and touched the trunk of the old tree, calling out the name of his friend.
The old tree didn't respond. When Avery was getting anxious, Nathan stood up and said that he would go somewhere else first, leaving time and space to Avery.
Avery looked confused, not understanding why Moon Fox did this. Nathan explained, "It may have sensed my presence and was afraid to speak."
